that does it...my laptop had a weird setting that made my virtual paging file smaller than it should be and it wiped my typing twice.. $"#$!"#$%&TYW%&
anywyas, i've decided not to write anything longer now.
i'll just put it in point form.
1. inaricho to san hongo to myogadani - via the oedo line, (oedo is not part of the subway. need to pay extra.)
2. wanted to take the walk to the sakura colonnade and then from there to the koishikawa botanical garden.
3.
got lost. T_T.
4. bought breakfast at a local sunkus kombini. found the best onigiri i've ever tasted. dried shrimp in chilli paste. could never find it again after that. typical. sigh. countless ppl i've tried asking, (they were around the onigiri fridge counter area.) it's like preordained that i should eat it only but once. bah humbugs.
*i did try asking ebi no karai in almost every store i went into. too bad .. i must find the correct name for that onigiri. if anyone who reads this knows what it's actually called, please lemme know. :D so that the next time i go back there i know what to find and how to ask for it.
5. lost myself another time in a small bamboo grove park, got bitten by a mosquito for the first time in years. then finally managed to find the sakura colonnade.(no sakura in september. obviously)
6. how i manage to lose myself yet again on the way to the botanical garden after finding my bearings on a short walk, i seriously have no idea. (ME...a boy who could navigate the streets of KL on my first time there. got lost on a short walk from point a to point b. sigh)
7. i ended up in the exit of the garden. rather than walk 15 mins to the entrance of the botanical garden again in the hot blazing sun, i decided not to visit the garden.
8. lucky for me there was something to see there at the exit. there was a museum of artifacts by the tokyo uni or something. ok confession i'm not the museum sort of person. there i met a lady who started chatting with me in japanese. wanted to tell her i wasn't really understanding her, but heck, i let her continue just to test how far my grasp of the language after years of watching anime.
9. anyways, got bored, then so i took the train to ikebukuro.
*note: when going to Sunshine city in ikebukuro, take the subway instead of JR line if possible because the JR station is like 15 mins walk away from sunshine city. (i took the JR line on the last day to find tokyo hands in sunshine city. needless to say, i never made it there.)
10. in sunshine city was the usual shopping to see what they have. (i think basically it's all the same thing) it seems to me that ikebukuro had a lot more ppl than i thought it would.
east side of ikebukuro.
the west side had a movie made about it. IWGP. ikebukuro west gate park.
11. there i visit the cat shop for 600 yen. thats where that photo of the cat came from. they were sooooooo cutee!!!! too bad i can't actually keep one. cos i'm lazy to clean up after it and the cat shit really really stinks. (i had one b4 so i know. lol)
i went to namja town to try out the gyoza street. lucky for me a few ppl knew how to speak english albeit not very good but still understandable.
tried one i think it was like ultra special tabasco sauce.. that was where the karai word came in to my japanese vocab. WOW .. it was hot...
*note photos: seal/sealion or whatever with trainer. giant sunfish, big spider crabs, another night view from ikebukuro's observation tower.
12.went up to the sunshine city aquarium. the lady never told me the sea lion show was over when i bought the ticket. what a ripoff... T_T . ( i went up at about 4 something i think). lucky for me there was a guy training the seal/sea lion or whatever u call it la. so i get to see it in action. then i walked the aquarium saw the huge sunfish.
13. by then after i left the aquarium it was a little late i was waiting for it to get dark so i could go up to the observation tower. i paid 2100 yen for the tower entrance and the aquarium entrance. ( aquarium wasn't really worth it. a bit too pricey. if it was cheaper than it'd be a good deal.)
14. i saw a big animate store around the area so i went in to check it out. they sure can make a lot of saleable things out of junk. i saw a use key from a keyboard being made into a magnet. keychain. etc.
15. i walked into the amlux or toyota showroom showroom as well. there was a lot of cars. just not those fast cars i'd like to see.
16. okies. after the observation tower. i hung around for a bit and ppl watch. hmmmmm i could sit there all day and just watch.. lol
okok. that's it for today
i leave with some photos of vending machines, bike parkings(why can't london have places to park like that. T_T)
rotating carpark,( only time i saw something like that it wasn't used for cars.. it was used for stage play. i saw it in the les miserable show. ) and nicely placed recycling basket filled with soda tins.cans
