3 more books.

david gemmell's quest for lost heroes, and waylander
michael crichton Next.
david gemmell's books has a lot of old men and dying old men who were or are legends in the land of nadir, drenai or somewhat.
after i've read like 3-5 books of his. it has some certain similiarities. but then again . it's what keeps me spellbound to what he wrote.
it's inexplicably linked to the previous books but then it can be read on its own. so no biggie. but it would be nice to follow the storyline and the timeline on the novels.
can't give away much because what can i say... it's brilliant ! :P

crichton's next. read it yesterday. i thought it was gonna be something nice. but this book had some different ways of bringing the stories across.
it had like printed excerpts of newspaper, magazine clippings(fictional ? ) in the book.
and as well this one had a whole series of different storylines which combines to 1 singular ending which inevitably makes it interesting.
i find this book quite similiar to the discovery channel's 2057. it talks about the future of genes.
how they get patented and how it would affect our lives in the future.
humm... it's not as engrossing as i thought it would be.. too little action ..i think. my personal opinion it's almost too close to the truth.
but then again .. who knows what experiments run without the knowledge of the general public.

bah humbugs..
okays enough of book synopsis.
i packed.. and i found that i could only fill 1/4 of the backpack. LOL
fingers cross nobody looks at me funny.

£4 per weekday and £10 for groceries for the week. that's it's gonna be till sept. hopefully.. until i start to try shopping again .. -_- so far for the last few days has been okays. spent like £8 for groceries for this week. some beef, some chicken wings( which i completely finished during the weekend) which included half a kg of fruit and nut cadbury. today was 2 for £2 sausage rolls from tescos. nothing else happened. my friend's father died of lung cancer. i wish them condolences. it was so sudden apparently. but i have had no contact with them since i left KL/miri. i heard it from another friend who was in miri who msged me asking me about my blood pressure as he said he was scared now. i asked. scared of dying ? lol. anyways, it's best to be preventing than trying to cure it when it comes.. so i really have to switch back to no salt diet.. T_T kk that's it. season 6 of 24 was like erm... okays... it was basically a repeat of the plots.. hope that's the la...

Ultimate Burger. ( sorry no pics)

Tried something new for lunch the other day. namely ultimate burger. . it's a tad pricey when compared to the burgers i had in macdonalds or burger king. :P £7 per medium sized burger. i had just the minted lamb burger(£6.95), and some spicy onion rings.(£1.95) in the ultimate burger store in tottenham court road. it was not too bad. a pretty nice setting too. all u have to do is queue up order ur food, then get a number then u put it on the table. they have sort of a hanger for u to put ur numbers to. just like in those kind of chinese open air market in petaling jaya give u number then they come look for u.. but this one they come to look for u with ur food almost about 2 mins after u've sat down and they would ask u if u liked ur food. gripes about the food. lamb burger seems small.. but its' about the size of a chargrilled flame burger in burgerking. taste wise, very tender lamb meat with mint sauce. it's nice. :P the onion rings are a different matter though . for ...
