hakone's train station shops. and my only shot of the bullet train.
in the train.
first things first. kyoto was easy to navigate. and it wasn't as small as i thought it would be. population wise a little smaller than tokyo. but the streets are all lined up nicely in a grid form.
my hotel was palace side which was smack next to the imperial palace. i shall not explain how i managed to get lost lol.
it was worth it to pay 600yen ( or wassit more) can't remember to get into this place. it was a peaceful walk around the castle. nothing congested like tokyo.
nijojo castle
as it can be seen here, i sorta took the best photos around this area. :P
too bad it's only one part of japan which i loved the photos.
after the castle, i went back to hotel and because it was still early, i showered and went out again to walk the kyoto imperial palace gardens.
bicyle was a try in the dark to pretend to be a photographer. the BIG word on the mountains was burnt about a month ago (in august) . i found out when i went into the laundry room. they had a noticeboard about this landmark thingy. they burn it late at nite and the hotel was opening the roof for the viewing of this matsuri.
i know this photo seems slanted. but i am sure it's not the camera or the way i held it.. i am sure the road was slanted. T_T and hotel toilet with heated seats and auto washer. ( didn't get electrocuted. it had a bad habit of turning on and off by itself) dangerous thing. -__-
