Odds And Ends..

I've been here for quite a while now. and there's this website i usually frequent to check if there are any good deals around. i found my room from the gumtree's website . it's a noticeboard where u can post up your adverts for free and then u can search for lotsa other things or whatnots. etc etc. most importantly, they have a section called freebies . now these freebies are really freebies even though i've yet to be able to find something free that i needed. but with all these freebies u can actually get free stuffs to decorate or to furnish the room. what's more they have RSS. i can sell stuffs here as well and i didnt have to pay a posting fee. unlike ebay where you have to pay to post or something. anyways, that's one of the sites i usually visit. on another note, my flatmate came back from china and bought me some goodies. i will post it maybe tonite or something. cos i don't have the pictures ready yet. and besides, i'm going on a one week bre

Bulldog - DSL 8mb fatband + phone line

okies. Finally managed to get my butt down to say someting about bulldog's dsl services . okies. i applied about 3 weeks ago or something like that cos i was stopped by this guy in front of safeway who had a booth there. told me about having a 8mb broadband + phone line without paying any £ for the first month and then 17.50£ for the 2-6 months then after the 6th month it's 29.50. + it's free modem and wifi router. here's the chronological order. 1. got stopped. listened to him. signed up. he said he could make it about 7 days. but maximum 14 days. true enough. it took 14 days. 2. got the email from bulldog saying our order is in the system. that nite itself. 3. after a 1 week of waiting. got an email saying that a BT engineer is coming to fix the new line. but because my flat's intercom wasnt working. did a few back and forth emails about asking the bt engineer to confirm that he would call my number. bulldog's reps didnt tell us that bt would call the number

Fig Rolls .

hmm i dun remember how much i bought this for i think it was for about 40p from netto. but its taste is similar to the khye guan grape biscuits from home. but this is definitely much nicer. i remembered i first ate this when i was five. and this was expensive back home. i think it costed around 5 ringgit ? or maybe i can't remember. the taste is heavenly. it must be the biscuit. the figs taste like grapes. and it's full of fillings. that's why i like it. now it's so cheap, i get to buy it everyweek. ehehe pictures here.

Assorted Can Food.

25p, 39p and another 39p if i am not wrong. sweetcorn doesnt feel the same when it's not steamed. i just microwave it and it IS still sweetcorn anyways. but the luncheon meat, no ma ling brand around here. so have to make do with this lancaster brand. it's not too bad. a tad small but edible. not much fat on it. so when i fry it doesnt get those crispy thingy. anyways, that's all for today. God knows i'm soon gonna be dead.. lol cheers.

Deep Dish Pizza £1.69

had a long weekend. cos was waiting for my bulldog line to be fixed. it finally got fixed on friday. took about an hour for the engineer to fix the line and another 2 hours for it to be activated. 8 mb line. woo hoo !! well, nothing much to talk about though cos the max i could try to download was 400k/s. it keeps dropping the line. will talk about that another day. had some pizza to myself the weekend. it tasted better than some of the other cheap pizzas i've had before from the store. it can be microwaved or oven baked. for microwave it takes about 3 minutes but will miss out on the crusty feelin of an oven baked pizza. i used the oven for the first batch, it took about 30 mins. microwave on the second batch. i think the spicy flavour has more meat on it. while the ham and pineapple had more pineapple on it. i usually like pineapples and meat but since it was ham, didnt really tasted the meat that much. got it from safeway on sale. buy 1 free 1. so i got 2 packs of different flav

Demolition Man - How do i use the three seashells?

well, i've just seen what MIGHT have been which stallone saw when he was unfrozen from the cryogenic prison. i supposed when he went to the washroom he saw this.. and then he thought what the hell.. it's the future after all.. maybe all the toilets look like this.. so he used it.. and then at the end .. he saw three buttons which looks like seashells. then i guess it was time he came out and ask somebody how to use those 3 buttons.. lucky for me there was instructions on the buttons. :P hehehe. on a serious note, this is the first time i saw a ultra violet toilet which was a public toilet. i thought they only had it in discos or clubs. guess where i saw the toilet in london ? yes .. the all great victoria station :P had to pay 20p to get in. the second one was in bristol though.. toilet was free. no glowing toilets this time. but hehe. this is the view outside the toilet in bristol.

Target Destination : Clarks Village, Somerset: Via Bristol : Point Of Departure: London £9.00

righto.. went on a day trip to look for the shopping village named clarks village . Reached victoria station( yes another station) 7 am. but that's just the train station. the coach station is behind that train station depending on how u look at it. using this bus. an old double decker. back to the station. saw my bus.. ( or so i thought was my bus ) and then went to find the washroom. saw a spectacular sight. will report that later. then went back to look for my bus to go as it was supposed to be 8 am. found out my bus wasnt the one i saw. it was this one. $"£%"&%£"^"$!£$!£"$!£"$!"$^%£$&%$*&^ okies.. wasted breath.. lol got on it. found that there werent that many ppl on the bus. Went on the bus. the bus left at 8am sharp. was taking a few pictures here and there.. and then SUDDENLY some guy asked me to take a picture of his necklace. i asked him waht was it.. he said it was a nice symbol. erm.. so i took it.. here's the pic. som

The Day After Yesterday....

how ironic that i went to watch war of the worlds on last nite. it was an impromptu decision as some of my friends wanted to go watch a movie in odeon . little bit about the cinema i went. it was empty. erm not literally empty but there weren't alot of ppl at the cinema. bought the tickets. £7 for adults and my friends had student cards.. so they paid less i think. not sure how much less. but for shows before 5pm they get to pay only £5.50. cinema was BIG ! HUGE Seats as well. chairs were stacked nicely so that ppl's head won't block the view of the person behind watching the show. the ads were a bit nicer though. movies starts after 15 to 20 mins of trailers and ads. it was free seating. not sure if that happens all the time. but maybe it was because there were so few ppl watching the show. After the movie, i found out that i AM an movie fan. cos i didnt really like that story after all. bear in mind that i've forgotten about how the storyline went. ( it was written b

Double Choc Iced Muffins £1.29

news from the morning. i was cycling to work this morning when i passed euston. there was like such a huge commotion all around.. bus stops with usually nobody or very few ppl waiting for buses were filled with ppl. i thought maybe it was the rain that caused this masses of ppl taking the bus. cos usually when it rains the tube stops working. hah .. when i reached the office i found out that there were some explosion. on buses and tube. hehe. maybe paris was trying to sabo london tube kua.. hehe. no no no.. just kidding. actually they said it was a power surge. okok enough bout that.. back to the double choc iced muffins. £1.29 for 1 pack of 4. but it was on promotion buy 1 free 1. so i got 2 for £1.29. yum. it is nice. the chocolate covering the muffins makes up for the fact that the muffins are not as nice as those double choc huge muffins from asda. oh these are from safeway. texture is like compact lor. not empty .. so it IS filling as well. nothing like a double choc muffin to mak

Newsflash.. Paris 2012 ? !? nooooo London 2012..

As promised.. Monkeys in london..FOC

hullo, this gonna be a short one. i have no ideas how to elaborate how the monkeys came to being. maybe the theories of evolution MIGHT provide the answer to why did i see monkeys in london. okok .. it's not monkeys. but they sure acted like some. these pictures were taken outside hyde park on the live 8 day. Notice in the pictures there are these 4 guys in Michael Jackson's similiar uniform. i did not know they were part of the live 8 show until i saw them on telly that nite. hehe but they were queuing up with the crowd as well. i guess i thought they were just some sort of live 8 fanatics. hehe. but cool :) there were cops all around. there was this guy who wanted to take the picture of the policeman with the horse. this cop was nice enough to let the tourist take a picture with him. when ppl tried to cut queues, the police was there to stop them and there were jeers for the queue cutters and cheers for the cops who stopped them from the ppl in the queues. cos i think the que

Sharper Image Spectacles Cleaner

I got one specs cleaner from someone who didnt want it anymore. it was new. never been used. so i tested it out. first pour the liquid dunno containing some silicon based stuffs that SUPPOSEDLY to be able to fill in microscopic scratches ( in layman terms- it does not do anything that u can see . in fact it is just a fancy word to make u buy it) well filled it up. and u dont need to change the solution so often which is about 2 weeks. this helps in saving the rest of liquid which can be used at a later time. put the batteries in. 4 AA batteries. then put ur specs in. then press start. it goes on shaking for 40 secs with weird blue lights like something out of Seaquest DSV. then it will open like a coffin opening.. and then the specs will still be shaking for another 10 or more so secs then wipe off with a microfibre cloth provided by the box as well. well.. loooks good. clear enough . and it's supposedly to be like rain-x making the specs less suspectible to fogging up. pictures ti
