day 13 : a visit to kaiyukan, osaka, japan
along the way of finding the kaiyukan, rows of shops around the area. and the station for the kaiyukan.
the kaiyukan from the outside. and the santa maria boat i think that goes around osaka bay. nope. didnt go on sit.
no doubt i wanted to see a HUGE whale shark. but to my dismay, it looked so small in the aquarium. lol.
entrance to kaiyukan and life size model of the whale shark yu. T_T. see.. not very big right ?? i was expecting it to be like 5 football fields long.
wow! look at that otter or whatever it is. looks nice doesn't it ? :P and some freshwater arowana and the tomans(white striped catfish ?). BIG !!
watching fishes makes me wanna go to sleep. but inside here it's airconditioned so it's cooler than staying outside and with it playing the classical music or something.. made me felt like i wanna sleep. seeing the fishes, they are like so peaceful.
okies. this blog of acrylic glass was used to construct the tank that holds the big whale shark. it's about 30 cm thick. and dunno what type of jellyfish that was but so long it showed up nice. i just took the photo.
random images of palace side hotel's kitchen area. free to use for all residents of the hotel. ( pretty well equipped if i may say so) and dinner in a authentic japanese restaurant. i ordered sake just to try it out. it tasted like the rice wine my granny used to make. ( she taught me how to make them, i never tried them out but i vaguely remember how), and it was drunk warm. very sweet. too bad i needed to wake up in the morning .. else i would have finished it.
