d80 or canon rebel Xti

right.. it's been toying around in my head for quite some time now that i can't get the f/22 stop on my canon s3 grumbles..
so here i'm deciding to get one of those said above.
point is that i've read reviews that says canon has sharper clearer photos and nikon has softer stuffs.
for me.. i think sharper images are better.. because if a little fuzziness on the nikons er.. it's just in the namesake maybe..
maybe they are all the same.
my sis is moving from the states to aberdeen on one of the coming months, so i thought i'd get her to buy it from the states. but i'd have to get it soon. b4 jan 18 or 20 as the delivery will take at least 5-1o working days or something.. or i could always pay for express delivery.
then it'd only arrive in the UK when she comes and i go visit her.
here's the clincher to those 2 cameras or rather my thinking.

pros for nikon
it uses SD memory cards.. which i already have 2 X 1gb.
the kit comes with 18-135 lenses.
much better feel in terms of the interface thing.
recommended by a friend who said she regretted getting the rebel. ( not the xti)
nikon sounds more professional than canon even though canon is more widely used. ( to me la)
that's about it i guess.
cons. - si beh kao expensive - 1299USD for the kit. sommore no memory card.
dunno why the canon name rings a nicer tone in my ears.

pros for canon.
clearer images.
cheaper. by about 400-500USD.
that's about it.
cons
uses CF cards.. i dun like CF cards.. they are big and bulky. :p
lens kit comes in 18-55mm. (meaning i can't take the zoomed photo of the half naked blonde neighbour i have that sunbathes during summer.. -_- j/k)

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.usanyways, cameras aside, i don't have time to hunt for them .. as i worked till 12 tonite.. bah humbugs.
apart from that i forgot what i wanted to write already. food was BK tonite.
no breakfast and lunch. a little bit of cookies in the evening,
loads of water.
hmm here's a photo for today . i'm venturing into the world of black andwhite. it was foggy on thatday.
somewhere along st.andrew's square in edinburgh

got my japanese visa.

1 year multiple entries. each entry 90 days. nice ! anyways, i think i did mention that japanese efficiency was also seen in the embassy ???!!?? alright, please scratch that. the time i went was early in the morning and i was one of the first person there so service was fast. i found the service to be comparable to other embassies where they are not really that quick.. well.. can't blame them just that it was my bad luck that my visa wasn't printed. 1. i went in the morning at 10 at stated on the paper. 2. she tried to find it.. couldn't find my passport. and then she said it's not ready yet.. please come back in the afternoon. T_T. (i shouldn't have woken up so early) 3. i went back to the embassy after lunch. took warren st to green park. it was stated severe delays but when i went on it.. it was quite quick. 4. i was the second in line to collect visa. not ready.. T_T.... he said.. 5 mins.. they are gonna print it now... 5. i waited.... 5 mins.... 10 mins.... 15 ...

A short history of my reading of books

I read 3 books on sat and sunday. some say i don't really read these books that i say i read because i read so fast that i can't possibly grasp the entire story. and some say stories are best read slowly and digested slowly. I've always been a person who rushes through most of the things i do. sometimes i take time and do the stuffs slowly sometimes quickly. kk. right now from saturday onwards, i'm gonna keep count on how many books i can read till i exhaust the feeling that i wanna read books. i started reading when i was 8 years old. i mean REALLY into reading. i spent one year living with my aunt back in sibu and while all my older cousins were studying and doing their own things, i sat down in front of the TV and watched the friday's cartoon. about a whale with special powers. ( this was usually met by my uncle with dark looks because i watch too much telly.) i read the whole childcraft encyclopedia. ( it wasn't hard because it was done in such a way that a ...

rain rain rain ...

i went to thomas global exchange on sunday. there was a long queue just to change money. so indeed my recommendation of the place was correct. it was in a quiet place. but it looked alright. there were lotsa ppl. and ppl who were walking past were very intrigue by this long line in front of a money changer. that's about it. i still need to change a little bit more. so i'll wait for my next round b4 i go there again. it was pissing rain outside. i thought i'd have to wait till it settled down. but as it is with london's rain, it just is not like the torrential downpour back in msia. lighting and thunder. yippee.. i used to hide whenever i hear thunder and see the lightning. and then i grew out of being scared of it. now i'm scared of a different kind of thing. that aside, nothing else is special. i brought food to work today. from the baguette i bought from somerfield on sunday. it was 62p for 4 wholemeal ones. i stuffed it with corned beef i bought from sainsbury. a...
