my embarrassment in the british library

saturday. it was supposedly a nice and sunny day. woke up.
got dressed. cooked fried rice cos i know if i don't eat b4 going out, i end up buying lotsa junk home to cook and eat or eating out.

got my batteries charged up for a photography taking session when i was at the british library.

took my stuffs. showered. ate. ready and took the bus down.

sat on the bus. the bus didnt go to euston station cos the bus driver said because it was st. patrick's day.
weird.. so walked from mornington crescent to somewhere along hampstead road. took a magazine from the BP station.
as usual the magazine was full of nice houses which starts from $400k onwards to £10 million.. man.. who got money to buy ..

but naw.. it's just me jealous of those ppl who can afford those kind of houses.
in fact, i'm jealous of all the rich ppl. damn.. i got some issues.. lol

right back to euston. took the bus to the library.
wanted to get a reader's pass. apparently i couldnt get it cos i told them i wanted to "look around". ROTFL.
cos me and my big mouth go tell them i wanted go look around. i should have said something important like i wanted to research on the effects of computer related feeds in relation to large datasets and warehousing etc..
bla.. i never went to school.. so i didnt know how to do that lol

in literal words of hers when i was there "I'm sorry. i can't give u a reader's pass just for u to go look around." ( lucky it wasnt an anime else i swear my face was REALLY RED. and dunno where to hide. lol)

anyways, that aside, i found out that i didnt bring any memory card in the camera.. so no photos for st patrick's day and the british library.

bah humbugs.
that's it for the weekend.

living on a budget

£4 per weekday and £10 for groceries for the week. that's it's gonna be till sept. hopefully.. until i start to try shopping again .. -_- so far for the last few days has been okays. spent like £8 for groceries for this week. some beef, some chicken wings( which i completely finished during the weekend) which included half a kg of fruit and nut cadbury. today was 2 for £2 sausage rolls from tescos. nothing else happened. my friend's father died of lung cancer. i wish them condolences. it was so sudden apparently. but i have had no contact with them since i left KL/miri. i heard it from another friend who was in miri who msged me asking me about my blood pressure as he said he was scared now. i asked. scared of dying ? lol. anyways, it's best to be preventing than trying to cure it when it comes.. so i really have to switch back to no salt diet.. T_T kk that's it. season 6 of 24 was like erm... okays... it was basically a repeat of the plots.. hope that's the la...

brussel sprouts are in season i think. they are going for 1 pack for 52p. it used to be like 1/4 of the pack for £1. but now seems to be cheaper. oh yeah. it seems to be siu pak choi. but it just didnt opened. anyways, that nite i went to morrisons, to buy more food. but when i walked halfway i found out that i didnt bring my wallet.. ^$£"%$£^%$ but lucky i had coins in my pocket. all i had was 96p. how sad.. lol . i went to the store to look for nga choi. er.. whta they call them here.. i think some sort of beans.. they usually sell them for 45p. i wanted it cos i cooked chicken rice mah. but then they didnt have it. and they have mixed stir fried thingy which was £1.29. poor ole me didnt buy it cos i didnt have enough lol so i hunted for cheap stir fry vege, the sprouts looked like a cheaper alternative. well.. i bought it. cooked it ate it with chicken rice. next thing i knew.. i was down with a bloody cough. ugh.. lotsa phlegm. not sure how i got it.. but that aside, i've ...

Ultimate Burger. ( sorry no pics)

Tried something new for lunch the other day. namely ultimate burger. . it's a tad pricey when compared to the burgers i had in macdonalds or burger king. :P £7 per medium sized burger. i had just the minted lamb burger(£6.95), and some spicy onion rings.(£1.95) in the ultimate burger store in tottenham court road. it was not too bad. a pretty nice setting too. all u have to do is queue up order ur food, then get a number then u put it on the table. they have sort of a hanger for u to put ur numbers to. just like in those kind of chinese open air market in petaling jaya give u number then they come look for u.. but this one they come to look for u with ur food almost about 2 mins after u've sat down and they would ask u if u liked ur food. gripes about the food. lamb burger seems small.. but its' about the size of a chargrilled flame burger in burgerking. taste wise, very tender lamb meat with mint sauce. it's nice. :P the onion rings are a different matter though . for ...
