Enermax liberty 500w PSU

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.usi bought this yesterday in hopes that my hard disk is still salvagable since i suspected that my old power supply was the stupid culprit
which was not supplying stable current to drive my 2 dvd drives, 2 sata drives and 1 ide drive.

the old one i bought was from a pc fair in tottenham court road for £14 aptly named sunvision or something. can't remember.
then one of my friends told me that her PSU was costed like RM 800 which is about £130. i almost fell out of my chair.
i knew good power supplies were expensive.. omg.. i didnt know it was that expensive.

but as i read on, they say stable power supply good for health of the pc and more efficient. i found out that maybe my old one is giving problems cos everytime i fiddle with my computer it dies on me.
i.e i helped my flatmate fix his computer.. and then what do i get.. my computer hdd hanging on me.
i've had it.. so it was either upgrade the whole damn computer or buy a new psu.
i wanted something i could use when i upgrade end of this year or next year..
i'm running not a slow spec or not a very fast spec. cos all i do is use it for wow and anime.
amd 64/3000 + 2.5gb ram (1x512 elixir + 2x 1gb kingston) + 250gb sata II + 160 gb sata 1 + 80gb ide + ati 9800xt + asus k8n + x-530 logitech speakers + 21 inch sony crt(heavy as hell 30kg) + ms wireless 1000 keyboard + mouse + 1 hp 8x dvd+r writer(only writes dvd+r) + 1 16x DL pioneer dvd writer (this one does both)
hmm i guess that's all there is to it to my rig.

but i want something better..
lol anyways, i got the psu for £73 now. it's good. so far stable.. i havent tried it while playing wow or doing some heavy stuffs that draws power yet.

i calculated i'd need about about £400 - £500 just to upgrade to a new mobo + ram + gfx + cpu..
it would cos about £300 - £400 if i got them from msia.

note: i found out if there's something wrong with my pc.. i'd do anything to save it from dying..
meaning.. i can't live without a pc... crap.. not good
it's like my precious lol .. i need to get away from my dependency on the PC.

right other than that .. i've been busy lepaking working. weather is getting better.
can't wait to go for a holiday ..

here are the specs for the psu From Enermax

i could have bought it online from here.. but then i didnt wanna wait .. sien .
Lootsale or here microdirect

[EDIT] apparently i found someone who loved/hated bokura ga ita as much i did. hahha i warned her not to read the manga ending.. lol
poor girl..

got my japanese visa.

1 year multiple entries. each entry 90 days. nice ! anyways, i think i did mention that japanese efficiency was also seen in the embassy ???!!?? alright, please scratch that. the time i went was early in the morning and i was one of the first person there so service was fast. i found the service to be comparable to other embassies where they are not really that quick.. well.. can't blame them just that it was my bad luck that my visa wasn't printed. 1. i went in the morning at 10 at stated on the paper. 2. she tried to find it.. couldn't find my passport. and then she said it's not ready yet.. please come back in the afternoon. T_T. (i shouldn't have woken up so early) 3. i went back to the embassy after lunch. took warren st to green park. it was stated severe delays but when i went on it.. it was quite quick. 4. i was the second in line to collect visa. not ready.. T_T.... he said.. 5 mins.. they are gonna print it now... 5. i waited.... 5 mins.... 10 mins.... 15 ...

A short history of my reading of books

I read 3 books on sat and sunday. some say i don't really read these books that i say i read because i read so fast that i can't possibly grasp the entire story. and some say stories are best read slowly and digested slowly. I've always been a person who rushes through most of the things i do. sometimes i take time and do the stuffs slowly sometimes quickly. kk. right now from saturday onwards, i'm gonna keep count on how many books i can read till i exhaust the feeling that i wanna read books. i started reading when i was 8 years old. i mean REALLY into reading. i spent one year living with my aunt back in sibu and while all my older cousins were studying and doing their own things, i sat down in front of the TV and watched the friday's cartoon. about a whale with special powers. ( this was usually met by my uncle with dark looks because i watch too much telly.) i read the whole childcraft encyclopedia. ( it wasn't hard because it was done in such a way that a ...

rain rain rain ...

i went to thomas global exchange on sunday. there was a long queue just to change money. so indeed my recommendation of the place was correct. it was in a quiet place. but it looked alright. there were lotsa ppl. and ppl who were walking past were very intrigue by this long line in front of a money changer. that's about it. i still need to change a little bit more. so i'll wait for my next round b4 i go there again. it was pissing rain outside. i thought i'd have to wait till it settled down. but as it is with london's rain, it just is not like the torrential downpour back in msia. lighting and thunder. yippee.. i used to hide whenever i hear thunder and see the lightning. and then i grew out of being scared of it. now i'm scared of a different kind of thing. that aside, nothing else is special. i brought food to work today. from the baguette i bought from somerfield on sunday. it was 62p for 4 wholemeal ones. i stuffed it with corned beef i bought from sainsbury. a...
