thursday 29 nov 530pm left work went to airport. bought the walkers shortbread. got ready to board the plane. MAS - must have been a crew in training. it was erm.. way below my expectation the service. to top it up.. i had to sit next to a BIG guy who was taking up the armrest space. and his feet was taking up my feet space. --__--" glad the flight was over. arrived about 30 mins earlier than usual. the taxi driver that brought me back was expecting a tip. i would have given if i had change. ( i'm not used to giving tips) sorry. i would have given it if i had change. next time remind me. mom cooked black soy sauce chicken and some hakka soup. ate and then got blasted by one friend who said why don't u come look for me etc etc. anyways, rearranged the schedule to go to mid valley around 10pm-ish. at 1130 ish got picked up by another friend in damansara uptown for snooker, jln ipoh dimsum, and DOTA ( my first time with it) ugh.. bad at dota. then went back home at 7 am sat m...

updates.

my suitcase is packed with biscuits. i bought them from morrisons/sainsburys/M&S. man.. i didnt know that biscuits takes up so much space in a suitcase. i need to get the walkers as well from the airport. apparently world duty free has a buy one get one free thing. 10£ .. not much cheaper than buying from the website.. but nevertheless it's alright. for the past few days i've been almost a little sick. i think must be the heater. dries up my throat. i dreamt of an old friend a few nites ago. T_T i dreamt i had a beard growing too. ( i'm not THAT hairy so this is a nightmare. )- due to the effects of watching dennou coil i think. nothing else to update. was too lazy to do anything else. met up with a friend for lunch on monday. went to this japanese place in centrepoint. but i think they are koreans. or maybe they were speaking some japanese dialect i've never heard b4. they had this thing pasted up on the door saying it was time-out one of the best place to eat. etc...

London Thames River At Night

London Thames River. about 100 metres away from the embankment station. thought i'd try to take some photos of the night and river view with the d80 but i managed to get 1 shot off b4 it started pouring.. T_T.. anyways, updates, none. still waiting to go back. today had to wear the tightest shirt in my entire life. we had an event. and boss wanted me to wear the company's shirt. well everyone was wearing one. and then turns out that they only had the female's shirt left.. obviously when i wore it.. it looked like a tight t. T_T... and all the other guys made fun of me .. --__--". some even called me bacon. u're supposed to be fat.. but u're not. . ( lock stock and two smoking barrels. ) uwaaaaaaaa.. anyways, i supposed it was all in good fun. had a nice time. had a free dinner some snacks for lunch. and this is the second time i've worn a pair of trousers in london. and all my shirts aren't ironed .. havent touched them in 3 years ++ .. ahh those were t...

waiting for holiday.

i have no interesting memories for this week i made myself a promise this morning that i wouldn't swear at drivers who aren't allowed to be on the road driving. but i broke that promise.. T_T. it just is like a bad start to a great day . anyways, updates, sat, sun - wow. wow . wow. monday work.wow.sleep.cook tuesday work.wow...oopps.. wow was under maintainence. so reading up on how to respec my rogue.sleep. today is wednesday. hmm managed to plan my trip back almost fully. that will include some snooker, jalan ipoh dimsum, a visit to lowyat, some groceries , some chinese medicated oils, some psp pandorising. meetup with friends. dental appt. that's about it. haven't been gaining weight.. so that's good. haven't been sleeping with my heater on. so that's good too. my room is warm enough. cement walls. sister is taking my old cam. my mom is taking my new cam. lol.

it is wise

for a man to keep his mouth shut under fire. hmmm i guess that didn't go too well with me today. i kinda told my boss off ... T_T ( i told him i just got out from the toilet and haven't done anything yet.. he was expecting i've found the answer to life's problems.. -__-") please laa i don't mean to be rude to u .. but my space.. my time.. has been invaded .. i need space and time to work.. i don't do work instantly.. though sometimes i do work pretty quickly.. okok ranting time ... oh man.. i dunno la.. he was like every 10 mins behind my back asking how it was.. and giving more work when i haven't even finish thinking about the other problem. it's been like this since like i came back from japan.. i seriously don't care ? maybe not.. lol money is important.. and i'm not young anymore. so much so that i am very tempted to try to look for other jobs.. note the word try .. means.. haven't done anything yet.. because why.. worried about how...

Regent Street on a saturday

okies. this is to make up for me not remembering what i've done for the past 2 -3 weeks. anyways, i'm still busy . don't even have time to check my email. sigh.. but that's only because i've been playing wow again. lol spent my whole weekend killing hordes.. interesting quotes from wow last week. 1. i got a raging horde on.... 2. *when rushing out from warsong gulch's BG .... scream THIS IS SPARTAA !!!!! 3. Rogues = yum !! quoted by a priest. lol apart from that.. nothing special. not doing anything..

more busy

more busy sat. shopping. RL polo linen shirt on sale.(selfridges) gap long sleeeves linen shirt on sale. + shorts(*gasp* i can't fit into a size 32 anymore..) (gap) esprit casual jacket. saw a marks and spencers coat for 130£. but the indian serving me was rude and presumptious. just because i was asking about which type of coat to wear during winter and would it be suitable for below zero and snow. he assumed i was here for the first time. *sheeesh* anyways, didn't buy the coat on account of the bad and lousy service from the guy. lol resubscribed to wow again for 3 months. not going to austria. after the umpteenth time calculating.. overused budget liaw.. T_T

one word and few paragraphs

busy bought my ticket to oslo for a week for year end holiday from expedia. because ba charges £3 for credit cards.. T_T just got home. nothing special happening. did i mention i bought a k800i for £98 from o2. price check in msia was RM800++ ? cheaper here. ( and i still don't use the phone as much) last paragraph, i need the winning numbers for the lottery. gimme gimme gimme

friends.

it was a good dinner and a nice drink afterwards. meeting up with her made me realize how much i missed hanging out with friends.(okok this isn't as bad as it sounds like). lol. and it't not that flattering to have someone remember u last as a person who was sick on the trip to singapore and then suddenly complained of rashes which turned out to be measles -_-' . but nonetheless, the meet up was greatly needed. so i don't get use to being alone. it was 7 years ago ? or maybe longer or ages ago.. can't remember... it was like from a different time. why don't i have friends here in london.. i find it such a bother to make friends.. or i've become so cynical of ppl or i've become more interested in saving money rather to spend money on social outings. to which the answer i don't really know. but one thing i know is that friends are wonderful lol. protocol for meeting friends ? hug when meet and cheek kiss when bye ? well i think that's the standard ...

went to ikea on sat/bought a ticket to msia.

that's what i did. ... not anywhere fancy. because a mail from my friend back home in the email cc-ed to a few friends of ours. the email contained words like that UK jerk not coming back for my wedding.. LOL and i had the whole day to think about it. should i go back or not.. i have about 8 days of holiday left. if i used up 8 days for going back to msia then how on earth am i going to go to austria ? geeez.. bought the ticket lor.. what else (today bank called me up .. say calling to check for fraud prevention... cos ticket to KL was £560 from MAS.)( okok. i didnt wanna buy from MAS.. but they had the best timing that suited my purpose. 10 pm leave london, arrive 620 pm next day. then leave KL at midnite. arrive 525 am london. just in time for work. ) anyways, made it 4 days holiday for trip back to msia . and another 4 days pre christmas for austria. now all i have to do is find a cheap place in austria for me. sister is going to oslo for new year's. i wanna go... i so wanna...

booked.in.a.moment.of.spastic.movement.of.my.fingers

an influence from an email sparked my anger and in frustration i booked another long haul ticket. T_T and i accidentally bought the ticket. i tried stopping my fingers from typing. but it just went on by itself.. i swear i didnt mean it that way. anyways, this time it will also be a direct flight. so hopefully i'll get nice girls seating next to me la. now i gotta go collect that ticket. maybe next week go collect la.. somehow it feels like i made a mistake. but like when that enter button was pressed... i knew there was no turning back. anyways, no biggie. i'm writing this post because it's confession time. because usually when i do something not sane... i have to find someone to tell the product of my insanity to .. but.. seeing as there's nobody around i can tell... i've decided to post this. after posting this .. i'll feel alot better as i got it out of my mind. there we go.

My early research on austria's snowboarding for beginners.

My Requirements. 1. BEGINNER Snowboarding/Ski - doesn't really matter just as long as i get to stay in the snow filled place for 7 days. *all i wanted was a log cabin with a jacuzzi and hot chocolate and a nice lamb chop and a good book sitting by a fireplace. lol. 2. CHEAP AND CHIC. ( stealing a line from moschino's ) i want it to be nice. and cheap ( less than £450 if possible) but by the looks of my research, it doesn't really seem possible. T_T austria's kaprun where the kitzsteinhorn is. int he region of salzburg. not that i am able to ski/snowboard that well to get up to the top. but it would be good for a photographing opportunity. 3. 7 days. ( a week of holiday) meaning i'm gonna spend 5 of my 8 days holidays. ( now i wonder if the minimum holidays is gonna go up for all ppl from 20 days to 24 then to 28 next year.. *sigh*) 4. BEFORE 22 December. ( apparently this is the low season) ( so everything should be still priced at low season's price) Results. ...

japan trip sep 2007 - navigation index

yesss!! managed to post the photos of japan up. with little or no explaination at all. so i wish u all who wanna know more about japan go there and see for yourself :P apart from shopping, eating, culture, sleeping. it's all different. best time to go to japan ? spring , and autumn( late oct onwards) anytime which is cold and not summer :P for me anyways. i did the baseball batting machines. i couldn't even hit the ball flying at 80 km/h. T_T. i ate unagi don, sushi, katsuo sashimi, some cuttlefish, yakitori, gyuudon, ramen, soba, onigiri, bento boxes, green tea icecream, shaved ice, mcdonald's , freshness burger, first kitchen, lotteria. mame daifuku, curry rice. so many other things to eat. *droool* okies. enough of that. here we go. i'm linking them posts in one post so it's easier to navigate. be forewarned. photos intensive. words are lacking where pictures are plenty :p Day 1 : tokyo Day 2 : akihabara Day 3 : Shinjuku Day 4 : asakusa to ginza Day 5 : ikebukur...

no title. weekend of 5 oct 2007

friday evening was suppose to up this on site but got so busy and then went to the green man for drinks and went back almost drunk. then cooked something to eat. then stayed awake till 5. couldn't sleep. read some books. watched some animes. played some psp. then slept. woke up. wanted to go to the bank to ask about loans. didn't go. lazy. went to buy superglue in the nearby carboot sale for £1. then the thing i meant to fix broke.. so glue was useless. then i went to the north library which was about 10 mins walk from where i lived. they didnt have the book i wanted. found out it was in the N4 library. geez.. never mind. walked back. went to morrisons to buy my beef and carrots for the slow cooker thingy. then put them all in. then went out to the N4 library using my bicycle. (quicker than walking) saw a policeman, asked him where was the library. he said it was the white building. so i went. because he said it was the white one.. i went in without looking at the signs on the ...

Alert! looking for beginner skiing friends..

right.. somehow.. a weird idea just came to me. (same type of idea that propelled me to book a flight to japan earlier this year) i wanna go spend my december 2007 holiday week. ( not christmas obviously and also not anytime when my office's christmas party is being held - which i have no ideas when) i am googling for moderate budget skiing for beginners in some snow capped mountains with some nice accommodation so if i decide not to try out skiing i can sit in the cabin/lounge/wherever to read books and sip a cup of hot choco. or maybe something else. hehe. so if anybody who happens to see this, and have the same idea as i have, and don't have a group to go with, i'm more than happy to join your group. lol. anyways this is a shot in the dark. i might just be able to find some tour operators that operate ski holidays for just 1 person but in a group. that will be even better. anyways, just a heads up. since i've got the thought of skiing in my head now. enough said for ...

what's more annoying...

having the laptop hang on you after typing out like 3 quarters of the blog on a notepad ?? OR having your flatmate come and tell you that he's getting annoyed about the wireless connection and thinks u are the cause of it and can do something about it. ?? WTF... i DONT care if ur laptop can't connect. i told u the solution. it's not my fault the router hangs on u. all u have to do is tell me then i'll restart the router. sigh.. well both of them are annoying .. if i had to choose.. i'd choose neither.. anyways, ikebukuro's and part of koishikawa's garden is up.

monday to tuesday

man.. i don't understand it.. am i working too slow that i have to stay till 10 pm at night on a MONDAY nite ?? *sigh* anyways, that's about it.. am reading a book called rhapsody by Elizabeth Haydon. wanted to finish reading it last nite.. but then came home so late how to finish.. well day 4 to asakusa and ginza is up. (i'm gonna do a series on london after this 15 days of japan is done. hopefully i keep at it.)

weekend was busy.

1. fixing the vaio. 2. playing with ridge racer 2 on psp, 3. hunting for rice cooker until one chinese man told me that it's cheaper to buy a 10 pound rice cooker from robert dyas than from a 20 pound one from james selby. 4. bought a crockpot slow cooker rather a cookworks one for 9.99 pounds from argos 5. read 1 and half books. tried typing out the report for japan. day 3 is done though look here meanwhile i suppose i'll have lack of updates as i'm still so busy... sigh...

it's thursday already .. !!

wow. i didnt realise that it was thursday already. and tomorrow's a friday and payday too !! whooopee !! okies. that aside, i managed to download a few demo games for the psp i bought. they look good. but i am still torn on which games to buy. i'm gonna go virgin store to find some 12 £ games. ridge racer feels good. but i'm still not sure as i don't really play games. i think i'm gonna buy tekken dark Resurrection that's the bash them up game. which i think i'll like. okies.. today i'm gonna buy 2 games. it's late nite shopping day anyways. will do. oh day 2 in akihabara is up as well. click here to view.

work, work and more work...

just got back and had to work like 10 hours a day.. not very nice .. as well as suffering from the jet lag. i still havent managed to fully unpack and sort all the items out. i think that's the problem with buying too many toys and don't really know which one to start playing with. okies.. today added day 1 in tokyo . nothing else happening in london for me at the moment. it's cold. that's for sure. it is nostalgic to see the seasons change. :D the tree i see from my kitchen window is starting to change its colours again. nuff said.

back from japan.

so okays.. my trip to japan was awesome. was hot and rainy at times.. but yes it was worth it. i flew JAL- japan airlines from london heathrow to tokyo narita. and back. :D *note to self. take aisle seat when possible unless going with bunch of 2 other friends. - it's hard to go to the loo when u have to crawl over ppl. ** make sure to ask for seats next to pretty japanese girls who speaks english. - i got stuck with a fat spanish man who couldn't really speak english. then on the way back i got stuck with 2 old japanese ladies who one of them kept elbowing me when sleeping. T_T. ***book my holidays in between 2 months. - this will ensure entertainment on flights will be fresh. my point of JAL. service was alright. but i've been on better serviced flights. entertainment was horrible. okok.. maybe exaggerating a little. 12 channels. 14 on the newer aircraft. channels = shows. so .. 12 hours one way.. = bored out of my wits. this will be an introduction to my 15 day 14 nights...

day 15 last day in tokyo. flying off from narita to london heathrow.

after 2 whole weeks in japan. i made a conclusion as with many other tourists had made. i didnt see enough of japan. :D i'll be back. lucky there was no earthquake or typhoons where i was. and it was kinda disturbing to see that every hotel had a sign in case of FIRE AND EARTHQUAKE !! .. lol that's my ride. :D Narita airport duty free flying across siberia or wherever. finito. finish. owari.

day 14 : kyoto to shinagawa, tokyo

finally time to leave kyoto. no hard feelings. but i suspect i would love kyoto when it snows. took the hikari train back that goes to shinagawa. then arrived checked into prince hotel shinagawa. was a small room but usable. then i started my last minute shopping to burn all the cash i had. so there's not gonna be much photos on this day. shinagawa train station shinagawa prince hotel surround areas at night. so different from the oak hotel in ueno where it was quiet. this place was brimming with life. so many ppl moving in and out. i had ramen at a stall. the only one i could find. i wanted those street side eating like back in malaysia. anyways, i took this photo and the flash fired.. OH shit.. lol. i said sorry. i usually take night photos without flashes. sigh.. i hurriedly hid my camera back in its pouch. yodobashi akiba at night

day 13 : a visit to kaiyukan, osaka, japan

day 13 : a visit to kaiyukan, osaka, japan along the way of finding the kaiyukan, rows of shops around the area. and the station for the kaiyukan. the kaiyukan from the outside. and the santa maria boat i think that goes around osaka bay. nope. didnt go on sit. no doubt i wanted to see a HUGE whale shark. but to my dismay, it looked so small in the aquarium. lol. entrance to kaiyukan and life size model of the whale shark yu. T_T. see.. not very big right ?? i was expecting it to be like 5 football fields long. wow! look at that otter or whatever it is. looks nice doesn't it ? :P and some freshwater arowana and the tomans(white striped catfish ?). BIG !! watching fishes makes me wanna go to sleep. but inside here it's airconditioned so it's cooler than staying outside and with it playing the classical music or something.. made me felt like i wanna sleep. seeing the fishes, they are like so peaceful. okies. this blog of acrylic glass was used to construct the tank that holds...

day 12 : Nara-kyoto-Arashiyama

View from Nara Park Station deers at nara park. bought some biscuits to feed them . 150yen. well u don't have to look for them. they hang around the place where they sell biscuits. and when u buy one. the deers will come for u. literally. they will try and headbutt u to give them the biscuits. i had about 6 deers around me. one pulled me by biting on my lowepro camera side pouch. lol. after u're done with the biscuits. they will leave u alone. even if u try to put ur hands out and pretend u have things for them. they won't come. lol. use you and abuse u and then leave u. lol . the deers more school excursions to visit historical places by students.. ( they come in the busloads) phew.. it was sooo hot the weather on that day. i can't see how the kids could take the heat. the temperature that day was 34C. i saw it on telly. was hungry while in nara. the other side of nara park had a pond filled with tortoises. and saw a small shop beside it. so asked for food. they gave m...

day 11 - eastern kyoto

Ginkakuji - silver pavilion the word says it's made of silver. ( i thought so because the GINkakuji is covered in gold.) sheesh... it's only an old wooden shack. lol. zen garden and map of the place. entrance to kiyomizudera temple and while walking up the stairs, 1 girl and 1 guy dressed up in kimono. absolutely ugly. T_T wooden wishes and magic water.( don't really know the word for it but it seems that it is a special type of water) some temple off the site of kiyomizudera's entrance or something and view of kiyomizudera temple. shaved ice in around kiyomizudera temple's path. the strawbery flavoured shave ice costed about 600 yen i think. small river in kyoto. can't remembre where i took this. it's only because it was straight and u could see as far as the eyes could see. fushimi inari shrine. torii mon (gates). the map shows that i walked the whole mountain of fushimi inari in kyoto. ( each time i stop and asked a person coming down.. mada tooi desu ka ...
