well.. lemme see.. this the second day the delivery for the office water never arrive. drat.. i drank one coke in the morning.. now i'm thirsty as a dog that just ran 10 miles.. ..
went to tesco's. bought ashbeck mountain spring water. for 44p. 2 litres.
one thing about UK the immediate difference from msia is that they do NOT have distilled water or RO water. that was the first thing i found out when i arrived in London about a year ago.
Notes: type of water currently on sale in UK.
1. STILL WATER = nope this is not distilled water. it's just like normal mineral water we have back home. but dun think it's distilled or RO for that matter. no such thing on sale here.
2. SPARKLING WATER - same like those u use for gin and tonic ahh ? or just carbonated water.. tastes bad by itself(to me la). but tastes okay with some squash. or whatever that suits ur fancy.
well.. it's water. for the first few weeks water tasted bad to me. hehe. so i bought 5 litre bottles of water from somerfield from the place where i lived the last time.
i think it was aquapure or something. cheapest and easiest to drink of the lot about £1 for it or something like that.
then i knew this wasnt a solution i had to get used to drinking water here else i'lm gonna be dead broke just by buying water.
so i bought squash. and dilute it with water from the tap. well.. they say water from the tap here is safe to drink. oh well, considering the limescale i see on the taps sometimes i don't know why i even bothered to drink water at all.
well, i had to mix squash to make the water taste nice. till now i still do it. hehe. :P only if i buy bottled water i'd not mix it. it'd seem like such a waste. OR if i drink bottled water from my office's dispenser.
speaking of water, it's kinda hard to think of stuffs to cook for dinner each nite.
hmm thought just came to mind. should i use up the tom yum cubes and make tom yum soup ? Note to self: how on earth does a lemongrass look like ? is it serai ? or something.. bah .. OR should i buy some 99p for a whole sack of yellow onions or whadafuk they call them here then cook some black soy sauce potato chicken.. (my own recipe i fashioned from the memories of my mom's cooking) DECISIONS !! bah .. screw me.. else i'm just gonna go back and cook maggi mee kari .
must go check the 99p shop if it has new stocks of maggi curry or not. they dont get it very often .. but it's cheaper than getting them from chinatown .. in chinatown it's £6.50 per box ? but that shop it's only £5.98 ( pack of 5 = 99p. so in the box got about 30). beats carrying it all the way home from chinatown..
yeah i can tell when i'm bored when i go rambling about food or blogging nonstop.
should be enough stress for today. will see what else i have to do later. ta.
