London Energy And Buses and Dump trucks...

i got a text yesterday telling me to come home so that my flatmate could check the electrical meter in my room. dun ask me why but the meter is in the store in my room. :p anyways, told him i'd try to get home b4 630. then after half hour later he texted me again saying it was the whole street that went down.
so i didnt have to go back that early. so i took my time. reached home at about 7 pm.
the whole street was dark. anyways. reached home. talked with housemates for a bit. then figured out that we could call the customer service. got the number from london energy's bill. called them. got a machine. i thought oh shit... the robotic voices again. but no less than 2 buttons away, the fone rang. and it was answered promptly within 2-3 rings. The guy who answered was named kelvin or calvin. well anyways, he was very nice on the phone. politely explaining everything with patience.
damn. they do have good service.
they explained that underground cable affected. engineers fixing rerouting power to a safe thingy. etc.. should take about an hour or two. asked me to leave my number and name. told him that i wasn't the payer of the bill. he explained that they don't match names with address so it's just to make sure we get our electricity back. WOW. well. gave him my number.
sure enough. about 1 hour later. the lights came back. and then they called me and left a msg on my fone to check if power is okays. but i couldnt pick up cos it was on silent mode.
NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL SERVICE !!! DAMN!!! if only TNB had those kind of service back in msia. %$%$£^£%$
can't say much about bulldog's broadband thingy... geez... u CANNOT EVER GET THROUGH !!!!
anyways, enough about services.
today, i've learnt that never let a dump truck overtake u especially when the roads are wet. with those big tyres, .. damn water is sprayed everywhere .. &%"$^"$%"£$!£"
and they aren't pretty smell too. damn. lol.
and buses... one bus came so near me like was trying to scare me half to death. diu..
bastards..
or maybe i'm just in a bad mood today. lol

got my japanese visa.

1 year multiple entries. each entry 90 days. nice ! anyways, i think i did mention that japanese efficiency was also seen in the embassy ???!!?? alright, please scratch that. the time i went was early in the morning and i was one of the first person there so service was fast. i found the service to be comparable to other embassies where they are not really that quick.. well.. can't blame them just that it was my bad luck that my visa wasn't printed. 1. i went in the morning at 10 at stated on the paper. 2. she tried to find it.. couldn't find my passport. and then she said it's not ready yet.. please come back in the afternoon. T_T. (i shouldn't have woken up so early) 3. i went back to the embassy after lunch. took warren st to green park. it was stated severe delays but when i went on it.. it was quite quick. 4. i was the second in line to collect visa. not ready.. T_T.... he said.. 5 mins.. they are gonna print it now... 5. i waited.... 5 mins.... 10 mins.... 15 ...

A short history of my reading of books

I read 3 books on sat and sunday. some say i don't really read these books that i say i read because i read so fast that i can't possibly grasp the entire story. and some say stories are best read slowly and digested slowly. I've always been a person who rushes through most of the things i do. sometimes i take time and do the stuffs slowly sometimes quickly. kk. right now from saturday onwards, i'm gonna keep count on how many books i can read till i exhaust the feeling that i wanna read books. i started reading when i was 8 years old. i mean REALLY into reading. i spent one year living with my aunt back in sibu and while all my older cousins were studying and doing their own things, i sat down in front of the TV and watched the friday's cartoon. about a whale with special powers. ( this was usually met by my uncle with dark looks because i watch too much telly.) i read the whole childcraft encyclopedia. ( it wasn't hard because it was done in such a way that a ...

rain rain rain ...

i went to thomas global exchange on sunday. there was a long queue just to change money. so indeed my recommendation of the place was correct. it was in a quiet place. but it looked alright. there were lotsa ppl. and ppl who were walking past were very intrigue by this long line in front of a money changer. that's about it. i still need to change a little bit more. so i'll wait for my next round b4 i go there again. it was pissing rain outside. i thought i'd have to wait till it settled down. but as it is with london's rain, it just is not like the torrential downpour back in msia. lighting and thunder. yippee.. i used to hide whenever i hear thunder and see the lightning. and then i grew out of being scared of it. now i'm scared of a different kind of thing. that aside, nothing else is special. i brought food to work today. from the baguette i bought from somerfield on sunday. it was 62p for 4 wholemeal ones. i stuffed it with corned beef i bought from sainsbury. a...
