first time i've ever actually eaten in a food court in london.
as usual, lunch time nowadays is pretty much boring. it's either tesco's, coffee bean ( bears no resemblance to the coffee bean franchise back in msia or anywhere else)
McDonald's on Regent St( eat mackers also much be high class :P), sometimes subway in front of the westminster uni on charlotte st.
ocasionally, the chinese buffet place down great portland st.
we've always wanted to try villandry take out. but then at about 6 £ per pop with drinks and all doesnt seem all that cheap. ( it's comparable to the chinese buffet though)
ANYWAYS....
we walked towards oxford circus and then still couldn't think of any place to eat. then since it was on the way towards burger king on tottenham court road,
somehow my colleague turned in plaza oxford street, or oxford street plaza or whatever..
in there was a food court which i knew existed but have never tried anything there.
but after so many years of eating the british way, this place felt so much like home. lol
being with a good number of stalls lemme see if i can remember them
there was pizza hut, KFC, McDonalds, some quzsub or something like that, and some stall that sold jacket potatoes, some sandwich shop.
the thing that made me feel right back at home in was the fact that we had so much space around the table.
it's not cramped like those chinese buffet shops, or the KFC down beside goodge st station.
and most of all it had like a few varieties of food to eat all about the budget price of 4 or ++ .
anyways, today i overshot a little bit cos KFC wicked zinger meal was £4.29. but i spent like £3 yesterday so i had a little leftover. :P
well for once i didnt feel alienated in a food court.
usually the food court is a place where cheap food are found. but then because of the pricing, almost all the shops in london have the same amount for lunch meals.
it varies from £3-£5 for the average, and more for the above averages.
of course the food wasn't as good as the food we have back home.. but then it's a change from buying stuffs and eating back in the office.
that's it for today.
