Parts of london at nite.

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.ushaving a friend over for the weekend isnt easy ler. have to play tour guide(not that i know anything much bout london. and finding out more about london is a little bit of a chore :P)
right so i ended up bringing them to
1. national science museum - i think it was quite interesting. too bad the digitalpolis was under refurbishment.
2. natural history museum - there was a motorized moving t-rex.
3. victoria and albert museum. - absolutely not my cuppa tea.
4. harrods
5. chinatown's wong kei. incidentally, i dunno where to bring them so i cincai la. but there were some incidents that irked me.
6. lillywhites < forgot the spelling liaw. couldnt find liverpool's last season jersey. too bad for the friend back in msia who ask me to find on short notice. bah :P
7. thames at nite - lotsa ppl there as well.
8. trafalgar square at nite. there were some ppl dancing in rollerskates/blades. but they were not actually dancing or practicing. just freestyle la. but it was okays.
note : 1-8 was all in one day.. i'd die of walking if this was everyday. but lucky it was only a once a year thingy.

today we went to camden ( which also incidentally a place which i would not have gone on my own as i think it's more of a touristy place like petaling st.)
and brought him to eat the pub burgers and as well as my first time trying kronenbourg extra cold ?
oh i brought him to marylebone, baker's st, on the first nite. nothing there except to visit the monopoly station.

anyways, right, here are some of my observation
1. it seems that the fashion in london now are those flats shoes that looks like chinese flats for ladies wear. dunno how to describe it la.. but i think it's the in-thing now cos everywhere i go i see ppl wearing them.
2. i dun like ppl who come and tell me just because i don't like eating out in chinese/asian places in london, they are disappointed in me cos i can't suggest a place for them to eat good chinese food. niameh.. u go ask some other friends who can la. ( i don't eat out alot. in fact, i rarely eat out cos i cook all the food i eat)
3. walking a few museums in one day is not feasible cos there's just so much to see.
4. this is the first time i've been out at nite in places where i can see weird ppl.
5. there were some drunk girls who were in those white stretch limo on friday nite, singing to us some drunk songs right near warren st when we were waiting for the bus. aiyoo.. if u wanna sing for us.. might as well ask us on the limo la ? :P
6. i am dead tired. oh yah..
us msians have a knack for saying accent as slang.
i.e wahhh speak with british slang ahh.. or speaking with american slang eh..
then when i try and explain to them it's not slang, it's ACCENT. they seem to not understand it. maybe i'm turning into the damn rigid old man. but heck.. it's bloody ACCENT. not slang. sheesh. ( well not that i speak good english but i somehow like to show off when i can .. haha. i just heard somebody tell me go and die la.. sien :P )

my friend brought for me from msia, some metal spoons they use to eat chendol or the air mata kucing with. some heong peng tapau from another friend in kl. (i bought her some cadbury snaps - somthing like pringles apparently but choco)
and as usual. he brought those maggi cup noodles.
other than that, he forgot to bring his towel home. well there's always next year for him to take it back then.
right that's all for today. tomorrow is gonna be another busy day and i figured i better post it tonite then.

living on a budget

£4 per weekday and £10 for groceries for the week. that's it's gonna be till sept. hopefully.. until i start to try shopping again .. -_- so far for the last few days has been okays. spent like £8 for groceries for this week. some beef, some chicken wings( which i completely finished during the weekend) which included half a kg of fruit and nut cadbury. today was 2 for £2 sausage rolls from tescos. nothing else happened. my friend's father died of lung cancer. i wish them condolences. it was so sudden apparently. but i have had no contact with them since i left KL/miri. i heard it from another friend who was in miri who msged me asking me about my blood pressure as he said he was scared now. i asked. scared of dying ? lol. anyways, it's best to be preventing than trying to cure it when it comes.. so i really have to switch back to no salt diet.. T_T kk that's it. season 6 of 24 was like erm... okays... it was basically a repeat of the plots.. hope that's the la...

of brussels sprouts and racial features.

brussel sprouts are in season i think. they are going for 1 pack for 52p. it used to be like 1/4 of the pack for £1. but now seems to be cheaper. oh yeah. it seems to be siu pak choi. but it just didnt opened. anyways, that nite i went to morrisons, to buy more food. but when i walked halfway i found out that i didnt bring my wallet.. ^$£"%$£^%$ but lucky i had coins in my pocket. all i had was 96p. how sad.. lol . i went to the store to look for nga choi. er.. whta they call them here.. i think some sort of beans.. they usually sell them for 45p. i wanted it cos i cooked chicken rice mah. but then they didnt have it. and they have mixed stir fried thingy which was £1.29. poor ole me didnt buy it cos i didnt have enough lol so i hunted for cheap stir fry vege, the sprouts looked like a cheaper alternative. well.. i bought it. cooked it ate it with chicken rice. next thing i knew.. i was down with a bloody cough. ugh.. lotsa phlegm. not sure how i got it.. but that aside, i've ...

Ultimate Burger. ( sorry no pics)

Tried something new for lunch the other day. namely ultimate burger. . it's a tad pricey when compared to the burgers i had in macdonalds or burger king. :P £7 per medium sized burger. i had just the minted lamb burger(£6.95), and some spicy onion rings.(£1.95) in the ultimate burger store in tottenham court road. it was not too bad. a pretty nice setting too. all u have to do is queue up order ur food, then get a number then u put it on the table. they have sort of a hanger for u to put ur numbers to. just like in those kind of chinese open air market in petaling jaya give u number then they come look for u.. but this one they come to look for u with ur food almost about 2 mins after u've sat down and they would ask u if u liked ur food. gripes about the food. lamb burger seems small.. but its' about the size of a chargrilled flame burger in burgerking. taste wise, very tender lamb meat with mint sauce. it's nice. :P the onion rings are a different matter though . for ...
