onigiri - or so i thought... i made them

hmm based on a hunch or a feeling that i wanted to eat onigiri, i made them last nite after buying the seaweed on friday nite after work from chinatown.
at first i wanted to use nishiki, those japanese rice i saw in chinatown's shop. but as usual my money sense got better of me. i thought, it's all rice. they just need it to be a little stickier than usual. ( i added more water and cooked the rice in my steamer)
so it was a little bit stickier than most. anyways, i made five with the usual amount of rice i use to eat. and filled the middle with tuna and salad cream. it was quite okays i guess.
it was amazing that the seaweed just turned soggy and not break. even though the rice was hot. it was like a nice wrapper around the rice. well, my rice was hot and i was too lazy to use my hands. i put them on the seaweed right away. i think the onigiri would have tasted nicer if i had those prawn chilli fillings they used in the pulut nasi they sell in the stalls back home in msia.
hehe. a malaysianized onigiri. lol
anyways, that's it. today i couldnt sleep till 630 am cos i was watching anime and i think i drank too much coke.

my flatmate from hungary moved out. he left me some of his leftover stuffs in the fridge so i get some free food for the time being. not that it's a lot but it's okays.

right, ta.

Ultimate Burger. ( sorry no pics)

Tried something new for lunch the other day. namely ultimate burger. . it's a tad pricey when compared to the burgers i had in macdonalds or burger king. :P £7 per medium sized burger. i had just the minted lamb burger(£6.95), and some spicy onion rings.(£1.95) in the ultimate burger store in tottenham court road. it was not too bad. a pretty nice setting too. all u have to do is queue up order ur food, then get a number then u put it on the table. they have sort of a hanger for u to put ur numbers to. just like in those kind of chinese open air market in petaling jaya give u number then they come look for u.. but this one they come to look for u with ur food almost about 2 mins after u've sat down and they would ask u if u liked ur food. gripes about the food. lamb burger seems small.. but its' about the size of a chargrilled flame burger in burgerking. taste wise, very tender lamb meat with mint sauce. it's nice. :P the onion rings are a different matter though . for ...
