The National Gallery, Trafalgar Square WC2N 5DN

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.uswww.nationalgallery.org.uk. Took the bus to the last stop. it stopped there. right in trafalgar square, there's a big space i think where some indian bollywood movies did some huge cheoreographed dancing movie shoots there. but i never did see it. anyways, much to my suprise, the national gallery was there. right, I just never felt the need to go visit places where paintings were kept. but i was a bit bored so there on saturday i just went. i managed to see a rembrandt, van gogh's sunflowers, claude monet's water lilies, gauguin, whistlejacket(big huge horse lifesize potrait, er.. can't remember what else. but i know which pictures i liked.
it was the four seasons depicted by four persons doing different things which signifies 4 different seasons by david tenniers the young in 4 small paintings. or something like that. and the other one was a big huge ass painting of the marriage of isaac and rebekah by claude. not sure who that claude is. it's definitely not monet. it just showed me like the life that was nice. ppl gathering under some trees. big trees. having some party. and you could see the horizon from there. the painting felt cool. i meant it felt refreshing. :)
speaking of monet, at least i still remembered that impressionist paintings (no thanks to the selective subjects i had to take back in college) are just dots compiled to look like a picture. it's the earliest version of those damn bubble jet printers :P

a few of those sights i saw there. there's a malaysian flag there. flapping in the wind. hehe. there's also a canadian flag there too. but it's on the other side.
hmm okies. after the gallery, i made my way to the japan centre to take a look see at the place. it was packed. and cramped and small. hehe but nice. the basement sold all sorts of japanese food. the first floor had travel agents and a bookstore as well as a notice board. but too bad i don't read japanese. the ground floor was the restaurant. and the money changer.
then i made my way to borders opposite fowlers i think. bought some grande frappucino , couldnt find a seat. i said heck, there's this girl there who might not seem to mind me taking a seat. i sat there then. of course after asking if anybody is sitting there. fyi, the girl was japanese. hehehe. read a whole book. then thanked the girl for letting me share the table. then left. wraps up my whole weekend. next week. another new place ? maybe... hehe.

Ultimate Burger. ( sorry no pics)

Tried something new for lunch the other day. namely ultimate burger. . it's a tad pricey when compared to the burgers i had in macdonalds or burger king. :P £7 per medium sized burger. i had just the minted lamb burger(£6.95), and some spicy onion rings.(£1.95) in the ultimate burger store in tottenham court road. it was not too bad. a pretty nice setting too. all u have to do is queue up order ur food, then get a number then u put it on the table. they have sort of a hanger for u to put ur numbers to. just like in those kind of chinese open air market in petaling jaya give u number then they come look for u.. but this one they come to look for u with ur food almost about 2 mins after u've sat down and they would ask u if u liked ur food. gripes about the food. lamb burger seems small.. but its' about the size of a chargrilled flame burger in burgerking. taste wise, very tender lamb meat with mint sauce. it's nice. :P the onion rings are a different matter though . for ...
