In Remembrance of Ooki(Mandy)

In Remembrance of Ooki(Mandy) 12:30am (Australian Time) on 24 July 2008 I first chatted with her back in the summer of 97 when i was in malaysia. she used the irc nick of ooki and i've always remembered her as ooki sakuragi. (blame it on the slam dunk anime) I remember that she was a vibrant, and cheeky girl and also a very tall girl ( IRC = image swapping = a/s/l) hehe. methinks she used to go to the undernet irc servers and hung out at #miri. or #mamak but i forget the details. After the IRC fever slowly edged away, we grew up. i guess. IRC was a thing of the past. We caught up again i think about few years ago when i think i came across her blog or something via something.. and i STILL can't remember. (i must be starting to forget stuffs) then i got her msn then we chatted then google. Her life was a journey of interesting sorts. i heard about her travels, her love for the canon d, and anime bokura ga ita and kenshin. she wanted to go nepal and china and trek back to nature ...

lol no posts

wow.. it's been quite a while since i last blogged. i haven't been doing anything at all. i'm gonna try to start a course in oct with open university to get something out of life. as well as planning to take a few holidays starting from sept. i guess by september i will have more photos to be seen. otherwise i think i have a book that shows a rough history of london. maybe i should go do that. okies. this weekend if weather is good . i'll go and take out my camera. i think it's rusting at the moment. nothing else. i've been busy with work. i closed my capitalspreads spread betting account. ( registering a lost of 98£ ) lol i got 300 fpp from pokerstars.com and apparently it's not a valid base fpp for me to claim my bonus deposit.. T_T i was like WTF ?? FPP is FPP right ?? anyways, the extra 7 £ i put in for a play in the poker game was lost in about 3 weeks. because of one night of insanity i go join the bigger stakes sit and gos.. roast lamb is always good....

icybox - JBOD

this should have brought my storage space up to 2 TERABYTES !!! but i chickened out due to the price and money constraints. anyways, i bought this for about 42 and 1 TB hdd for 110 totaled up to 152£ . not cheap. i think it's cheaper back in msia. anyways, maybe it's the time of the year again where i find myself interested in computer stuffs again. that being said. i didn't know formatting a 1TB hdd takes about 3 hours.. or maybe less.. but i know it was LONG !!! so far no problems. i just slip the hdd in to the slot. and connect it.. and my computer detected it as 931.50GB . okay.. so i bought 1 TB drive and then i got 1 more slot free.. so i took my 500gb out from the coolermaster ext casing and slipped that into the icybox as well. there whaddya know.. it works too. so i save one usb port and one plug point. my usb ports are all used up. i have an old casing so i can only manage to use 4 usb ports that comes with the mobo behind the comp. 1 is used by the ext hdd. 1 is ...

the kingly club soho .

woot. this was a while back but because we had a private party there. and check out the website. it was fantastic imean from the photos on the site itlooked good. even tom cruise the last samurai party, and scarlett johansson birthday party and etc etc.. really posh ! Direct from their website - "The Pinstripe Club was where the 1960's rich and famous mixed, partied and exchanged numbers - all whilst enjoying plenty of champagne!" but the photos in the website is really bright. when i was there, it was dark. we had like a street magician who poked a nail into his nose, girls who provided massages at the end of the room, girls who played the saxephone, and a man who made music with his mouth, lotsa cocktails and drinks and mixers and beer. oooo they had tequila girls walking around with the outfit.. it was like in the movies, to get in the club, u need to be on the LIST. hahahha drunk and pissed after 6-8 hours partying.. at 3 am when the club closed.. it was not a pretty ...

Rustlers Quarter Pounder - 3 for £3.75 from tesco express

0 to Tasty in 70 Seconds was contemplating what i could put in the office's microwave which is cheap and easy with absolutely no nutrition at all. at first i took the sausage rolls, but i saw it wasn't recommended for microwave ovens. so drat. put that down. saw the chicken and stuffs.. they were like 2.89 for 1 but serves 2. but because i don't share my food i gotta eat them in one sitting so that's out too. anyways, bought that. smells alright. did feel a little rubbery ( just a teeeny weeny bit rubbery) but had cheese and tomato ketchup prepacked. 190g . not too little not too much. i made the call to the american embassy today. called from an o2 pay as you go. ( because my office blocked off the 09 numbers) lol. that phonecall costed me like £18.42 for about 10 mins. they had this guy with a scottish accent.. ( it was soooooo thick that i couldn't really hear what he was saying over the phone) T_T. i mean if it was the guy from LOST.. the desmond guy with the s...

echocardiogram - ultrasound scan of the heart

woot.. !! i saw my heart lol. like a pregnant woman who sees her baby on the monitor.. it was so cool !. the techician stuck 3 wires to my body. made me lie on my left side with my left hand up and elbow facing downward. like a sleeping position. and then he pressed a few buttons on the machine. i could feel the gel on my chest. weird. it wasn't cold. not like the movies. and then it seems like ages when he was taking the echo. then i could hear weird noises coming out from the machine. i thought wtf.. what the heck is that.. ooo it's the sound of my heart pumping blood. ( it really sounded weird. i thought it was supposed to sound like dub dub. dub dub. but mine sounded like weird. different parts of the ultrasound gave different heard pumping sound) then he said to turn a little over that was when i could see the monitor. ahaha nice ! i could see my heart. i think i he was looking at the triscuspid valve, or the mitral valve.. not sure if that's how it's spelled. ( i ...

fishworks at marylebone high street.

it was either Fishworks or Orrery on marylebone high street for dinner when my friend told me to look for places to eat at a last minute. doing a google search places to eat marylebone high street came up with londontown.com's listing of these 2 places. when we walked in there .. they asked if we had reservations.. ( i forgot.. london is a place where reservations needs to be made for dinner) anyways, they had lotsa free tables. ppl came trickling in at about 8ish. London Dining / Fish and Seafood Fishworks 89 Marylebone High Street, Westminster, London, W1U 020 7935 9796 i had monkfish. it was GOOD !! or rather nice ! chewy succulent juicy ! yum ! i would go there again if i was a millionaire lol close to a £100 for 4 person. water except wine for 1 person. kalamari starters and 1 portion of chips for sides. ( i don't like greens) the others didn't want any. the mayo they served there was bland !! ( i dip my chips in mayo) the chips there was kinda old i gues.. didn'...

Hampstead Heath.

i went for a walk with my flatmate to the park since it was a nice and warm sunday. it was nice. i guess. nothing much .. just the walking made my feet ache. ( i didn't wear proper walking shoes. lol) it had 3 ponds. men only. mixed. and girls only. ( we could never find the girl's pond.) i wonder where's that hidden. rumour has it that the men's pond is frequented by gay ppl. ( nothing against them. some of them do have good bodies). we walked up the hill and it sorta could see the skyline of london.. it was a good photo opportunity but i didn't bring my camera. aww.. next time maybe. there were ppl flying kites and some ppl flying something like a miniature parachute. ate some iced lollies. then had kebab for dinner.. then poker again. but yup. hampstead heath is a nice park to go to if u wanna take a look at london's buildings :D

we will rock you @ Dominion Theatre @ 730pm

woot.. managed to net myself a free ticket to the show. and i didn't think of asking anyone else cos *shrug* too used to going at it alone. ( there were initially 2 tickets.) anyways, back to the show. i went in at about 7 pm sat down.. the show didn't start till 740pm. it started off as any other plays would. but it was really cool. based on songs sung by Queen, the play progressed in a way that had girls in skimpy outfits gyrating to the music.men too. (but of course i wasn't into watching men) only recognized 4 songs from the play. 1. another one bites the dust. 2. bohemian rhapsody. 3. we will rock you !! ( who wouldn't.. thanks to the MIGHTY DUCKS !!!! ) 4. we are the champions.. same as above. i think i had one of the best seats in the house.. or dunno the last time i came to this place was for a hillsongs church christmas special. sat right all the way at the back. the effects was very good. sound was awesome. (i used to dabble a little with the music and and so...

Natwest and my £28 charge.

how much i hate my hindsight about not having to ask for overdraft limit when i opened my account a few years ago. or foresight.. to a mr SW of natwest bank. man.. u gotta loosen up .. lol though i'm not much relaxed myself. geez.. i wasn't trying to get at him.. i was just trying to find out ways to see if i can get it without being charged the £28. that guy wasn't of any help at all. and on his tie had a badge that says, are u extremely satisfied with the service ? OMG.. his service was HORRIBLE !! early in the morning to have to deal with a difficult customer does not mean that u can take a pot shot at him.. u're in the service industry.. u moron !! anyways, i'm not sure i would have done any better.. but i was sure he was on the verge of sayiing.. F*CK off, i'll close ur acct so u'll be happy. somehow.. i don't get much of these in the banks.. i think there was another guy in another natwest was much better. Deputy Branch Manager .. MY ARSE !! i shou...

nokia 6300 from CMC markets

woot !! i got my phone yesterday !! it is black in colour and had the cmc market software installed and unlocked ( not sim locked) so it's good. i can finally retire my nokia 7280 ( incidentally i think it was the first cam phone in the market that i bought years ago in bangsar for about RM 1.8k) this new phone is slim and a little larger than my ipod nano. bigger screen. the cover for the battery is metal. which is a new to me. because all the nokia i've ever had came with a plastic cover for the battery slide cover thingy. camera is alright. a little slow so the subject must be still for the photo to be taken. the menu buttons are a little too small for my hands.. since i've got big hands.. so pressing the menu buttons are like a chore. other than that.. i have no ideas how to use the phone. it came with a microsd card.. 128mb .. omg.. that's sooooo small... anyways, not like i'm gonna use it for anything else now i think i should be able to take photos with the ...

wow. beginner's luck

well i am about to think that it's beginner's luck that i won money in poker.. i never did make it to the finals of any other tournaments after that.. of course i've only been playing 1 week. T_T. anyways, some exciting news to day.. ( waku waku - (nihongo)) lol my ex boss offered me an interview as a manager back in penang. wow. i never thought of it that way. anyways, nothing set in stone.. just mailed him my CV that i took off jobstreet.com.my *shrug* who knows... i'm still weighing the possibilities.. like my friend said.. quality of life is zero ? come home la.. not like i'm making any new ties here and my old ties back in msia is getting further and further away. anyways, just an update. moving back is always an option. but i need to have enough money to pay off the legalised loan sharks(banks) lol then i'd be set. no need to be in a hurry. like in poker.. i always go all in without thinking.. this time i gotta think very carefully. what should i do.. i kn...

Indians and mobile phones and toilets

i was coughing up phlegm. well.. i rushed all the way to the toilet. and saw my indian colleague talking on the mobile in the toilet.. i made a 180 and went to the other toilet on the other side of the office. *i was thinking.. sorry dude,.. i just didn't wanna spit in front of u. Poor guy must be thinking i didn't wanna be in the same toilet as him. (actually that couldn't be further than the truth but this time it was i don't want him to see me spit) a few hours later.. i was in the other toilet. just finished washing my hands and pressed the button on the hand dryer. another indian colleague ( not the same one) comes in the toilet with a mobile while talking on it. and went straight out because the dryer was quite loud. now.. from these 2 encounters from the only 2 indians we have in the office. i can safely make the hypothesis that either it's a huge coincidence that the indians like talking in the toilet. maybe spanish too. i once found a mobile phone in the to...

PokerStars.com

first there financial spread betting. then came poker. man.. where am i going.. first things first. financial offices are REALLY cool. i went to 2 financial spread betting offices. well.. one was big and one was a little smaller. i learnt a little bit from the guys who were giving the seminar about support and resistance lines and then it seems to work. well not all the time la that is. and i'm booked to another full day seminar on how good their product is.. lol but i'm just eyeing the free lunch and the last session of the day where they teach technical analysis. and some works on technical indicators. (i'm not a man for news.. so .. i just follow indicators la) right okies. that one aside. next thing in my list was pokerstars.com i was talking to a friend of mine on friday then i don't know how we got into talking about poker.. then one thing led to another. we had friday pub with the company picking up the bill. :D i didn't know why i couldn't drink.. well.....

HSBC's grammatical error *chuckles*

oh well i was looking at the banks websites again. natwest was offering 5.5% for eISA. and i looked it say it was for Permanent resident. weird.. then i went over to HSBC's site, eISA for 5.84% . wow.. that's a little bit more than usual. anyways, my point not being that, i thought they had ppl with good english working in banks. i think the developer or the designer was in a rush when he/she typed out those words. what are you're options. unless i'm totally ignorant of the way english is used.. then i sincerely apologize. but hahahahha *cheap thrill* anyways, right now i found out what i can do with £1. play spread betting will join once i learn more.. difficult choice.. can lose money damn kao fast. but can get money damn kao fast also lol my kind of game. when i saw the (financial )spread betting thingy ..i told myself.. hmm this seems to be right for me. fingers crossed and lotsa learning about the graphs for short term gains. and also i got a scheduled kidney renal...

aberdeen spring 08

forgot what castle was it.. i think it was dunottar castle. first time i've seen snow beside the sea. also the first time i've experienced a small snow storm.. visibility was like 50 metres.. T_T. as usual.. i NEVER bring the right clothes for aberdeen. this time i brought my jacket thinking that it'll protect me.. mana la tau .. that weather seems to dislike me .. it snowed.. and snowed.. anyways. seeing the old castle just makes me wanna watch all those old knights and castles shows. this other one is a seaside fishing town where the name was stonehaven. been busy. been lazy. been reading. been just reading a lot about investment. and it's making me bonkers.. i find i rather use my time to do something useful.. rather than do nothing.. heh. that's about it.. i tihnk this blog is gonna be updated on a monthly basis from now on.. i can't find the drive to just write anymore.

o2 ? pah !! bring it on !

anyways, in preparation for my mom's arrival tomorrow, had to go get stuffs ready in part of which was to get a new sim card. so i went to o2, i asked if they could unlock my k800i for me. this REALLY obnoxious guy said no. u gotta take it to the shops. then when i asked for a new sim card, i was borderlined on about to throw a fit.. ( which wasn't very nice of me.. which i didn't) anyways, long story short, i didn't managed to get my sony ericssons ke800i mobile unlocked. but i managed to spend 20£ for a new sim card. with a tenner credit and another 10 on my current number. and then i knew the shops outside can unlock my simlocked phone for me.. BUT i really don't wanna pay money for something i can do. or think i can do. rather thought i could do. ( it took me 4 hours. T_T) i bricked my phone a few times.. it couldn't start up. but following the guide from a blogspot thing.. i managed to rebrand my phone from an o2 phone startup to an ORANGE phone. while stil...

online stock trading accounts - my hassle of trying to get one.

apart from being busy with games, and books and other stuffs, i've been trying to find ways to reduce my ever present boredom. i tried to get one of those online stock trading accts. wanna learn about other stuffs too. so i tried to apply from a few websites to open a online stock trading acct. 1. http://www.selftrade.co.uk 2. http://www.fool.co.uk/share-dealing/share-dealing.aspx 3. http://www.hsbc.co.uk well.. like they said.. 3rd time a charm.. 1 and 2 needed me to send stuffs to them.. and as usual.. when i have to do stuffs manual stuffs apart from looking at the monitor. i get fedup. selftrade charges £25 p.a for a self select shares isa. and £12.50 per trade made on the dealings acct. fool does it for £2.50 less at £10.00 per trade. and they don't charge for the self select p.a hsbc does it weirder. £11.65 for each trade and add an extra 5£ for trades under the self select shares isa. right now i'm trying to find ppl who knows how to read financial statements and gi...

PSP- Harry Potter - Wingardium Leviosa !!

that has gotta be the weirdest spell to start with. i tried it a few times using the tutorial that was in game. press the X button and the Triangle button. i thought i got it working. and then when i got to hogwarts, demmit.. i couldn't even pick up the pail .. but the tutorial said.. X & triangle.. niameh.. so many times also cannot do .. i got fedup.. i googled it up. it was press the X button till it glows, and then release the x and press the triangle and then move the analog in a circle. £"$!^%$"$%$!%"!$ LOUSY IN GAME TUTORIAL!!! well thank the person who posted his way of casting it.. i managed to do that wingie thingy pretty easily. click here to view source. i'm crediting him with the success of being able to do that damn spell . :D game play was pretty horrible in fact. i HATE running thru the halls oh hogwarts.. the camera panning was weird. just because i was used to the wow's camera thing.. this made my head turned in circles trying to make se...

krispy kreme donuts or Doughnuts

whatever.. finally it arrived to tesco express in great portland st. woot.. so last nite on the way home, impulse buy based on calculation buying 1 at £1.20 is less worth it than buying a dozen at £7.45. knowing myself to be a glutton at times, i bought more than i need. yum! finished 5 of them last nite. 3 this morning. and have about 4 left for tonite. bwahahhaa. alrighty. i got myself 38 months ++ . that's my plan. grind for another 38 months b4 i reach another goal. *grind = an action of doing endless repeated actions of boring nature. i.e used in wow when farming for materials. this time i'm applying to a real life situation. so it's gonna be a heck of a long grinding session. i've been neglecting to update. because i'm bored. because my life now consists of reading on the way to work. work. lunch. read. work. go home read. cook. sleep rinse and repeat. (i got 38 months to do this. lol) that's it . no inspiration to write.. no muse appearing. maybe the reas...
