the difference between cheap burger patties and regular ones

cheap ones.. they harden up once it gets cold.
regular ones.. they stay nice and juicy after a few hours.

anyways, that's because i've always been buying cheap burgers from iceland, morrisons, asda, tesco etc etc.
then morrisons had a buy 2 for something pounds.. i can't remmeber.. so i thought i'd give it a try.
it was some ross burgers 12pc.
if image is gone, it means dalepak who does ross burgers moved the images location. just go to www.dalepak.co.uk to look for it.
bah humbugs. dun wanna hot link it just in case they say it's some violation of some stuffs etc.

amazingly, just now i ate both of them. 2 burgers i made them in the morning. 10 mins to fry up the burgers + eggs.
5 mins to toast the buns and spread them with insane amounts of mayonaise and ketchup.
*droool*
to make my point, i'm not gonna buy cheap burgers anymore.
lol.

and one more thing.. i felt so bored during lunch time so i took a walk to the new office where we were supposed to move to somewhere in jan 07.
to my surprise, there's no bike rack around.. wtf.. no bike rack.. how the heck am i gonna lock my bike then ??
geeez.. and here they(london mayor or others) are trying to promote cycling. i couldnt see a bike rack anywhere in the vicinity.
bah .. the only one i saw was the cycle shop which i think they have the racks only for the customers.. not sure.
didnt go and ask cos as usual, i'm just too shy.not bothered about it.plain lazy.
haven't had time to make the steamed pork ribs in black bean sauce. i wonder if i got the time to make it tonite.

note: i should change my blog name to something like ramblings of a cynical 50-something in london. instead of living in london.
because when i browse other sites.blogs.journals. they all have photos telling the history of the place they are in.
here i am just rambling about my daily ins and outs.

note to self: will change the title and the image graphics on top for new year.

living on a budget

£4 per weekday and £10 for groceries for the week. that's it's gonna be till sept. hopefully.. until i start to try shopping again .. -_- so far for the last few days has been okays. spent like £8 for groceries for this week. some beef, some chicken wings( which i completely finished during the weekend) which included half a kg of fruit and nut cadbury. today was 2 for £2 sausage rolls from tescos. nothing else happened. my friend's father died of lung cancer. i wish them condolences. it was so sudden apparently. but i have had no contact with them since i left KL/miri. i heard it from another friend who was in miri who msged me asking me about my blood pressure as he said he was scared now. i asked. scared of dying ? lol. anyways, it's best to be preventing than trying to cure it when it comes.. so i really have to switch back to no salt diet.. T_T kk that's it. season 6 of 24 was like erm... okays... it was basically a repeat of the plots.. hope that's the la...

brussel sprouts are in season i think. they are going for 1 pack for 52p. it used to be like 1/4 of the pack for £1. but now seems to be cheaper. oh yeah. it seems to be siu pak choi. but it just didnt opened. anyways, that nite i went to morrisons, to buy more food. but when i walked halfway i found out that i didnt bring my wallet.. ^$£"%$£^%$ but lucky i had coins in my pocket. all i had was 96p. how sad.. lol . i went to the store to look for nga choi. er.. whta they call them here.. i think some sort of beans.. they usually sell them for 45p. i wanted it cos i cooked chicken rice mah. but then they didnt have it. and they have mixed stir fried thingy which was £1.29. poor ole me didnt buy it cos i didnt have enough lol so i hunted for cheap stir fry vege, the sprouts looked like a cheaper alternative. well.. i bought it. cooked it ate it with chicken rice. next thing i knew.. i was down with a bloody cough. ugh.. lotsa phlegm. not sure how i got it.. but that aside, i've ...

Ultimate Burger. ( sorry no pics)

Tried something new for lunch the other day. namely ultimate burger. . it's a tad pricey when compared to the burgers i had in macdonalds or burger king. :P £7 per medium sized burger. i had just the minted lamb burger(£6.95), and some spicy onion rings.(£1.95) in the ultimate burger store in tottenham court road. it was not too bad. a pretty nice setting too. all u have to do is queue up order ur food, then get a number then u put it on the table. they have sort of a hanger for u to put ur numbers to. just like in those kind of chinese open air market in petaling jaya give u number then they come look for u.. but this one they come to look for u with ur food almost about 2 mins after u've sat down and they would ask u if u liked ur food. gripes about the food. lamb burger seems small.. but its' about the size of a chargrilled flame burger in burgerking. taste wise, very tender lamb meat with mint sauce. it's nice. :P the onion rings are a different matter though . for ...
