jobs.work.temp.part.time.full.time.permament

As i was chatting with an old friend who just started trying to find part time work, it brings me back to the tiems when i started a part time job.
lemme see.. my reason for part timing was because i wanted to buy expensive stuffs and mom couldn't afford it. ( good thing too) :P
my first job so to speak was to wash my uncle's honda prelude when i was 13. lol. he gave me 10 rm for that wash. not that i was very good at washing cars. but it was money nonetheless. saved up bought a new pair of pumps. reebok pumps last time very heng. now no more. too me a year to save to get those pumps. limited edition sommore.
crazy. few hundred dollars pair of shoes last time not cheap. hehe.
then i think i did part time when i was 15 as a bellboy in a small motel. the biggest tip i got was from a black dude who asked me to bring water to his room for him and his gf. rm 5. ( i think this job got me 3.50 an hour ? or maybe more.. not sure. but better than McDonalds la.. 1.80/2.20 an hour.. siao.. )
then i got a little older i did work as a part time banquet waiter in holiday inn.. ooo. that one was 5 rm an hour. sommore it was fun. we get tips if we serve well.
the biggest tip i got was i think 50 rm. from an uncle/oldman i was serving his table for the new year eve party. hehe.
did that for a few years.
then switched to telemarketing. also in holiday inn selling some packages.. i si beh sien .. i was never good at any cold selling. lol
then i stopped liaw. played too much. and read too much.
then after stpm i didnt wanna work all those weird jobs.
i tried one day trial as a walk around salesman selling those weird dolls u see ppl peddling. i thought it was sort of an office job.. but salah salah kenak tarik walking the whole town of miri. sien.
quit after that day. decided since most of my friends went back to teach.. so i went to ask see got teaaching post for me in my previous school or not.. oo.
now.. i can't remember if i did any interview or not.but i taught math & and was a form teacher( homeroom teacher if i'm not wrong) salary was a measly 750+ per month then when the stpm result came out it went up to 930+ per month.. but i quit shortly after that.. still wanted to play around.
studied in college. played too much. worked part time as a mail stuffer( stuff mail into the envelope and frank them lorr. (rm 5 an hour. standard)
then some time in KLCC as a decorator worker( those window displays in KLCC ) that one worked from early 7 am in the morning till nite time. this one got about 6 an hour ?
then i tried as well.. those perfume counter work. i would stand the whole day and sell perfume. saying hello sir would u like some perfume.. lol.
that one also 5 rm an hour.. but pay came like a month later and in cheque form.. siao.. commission was good. i think it was rm 3 for each perfume we sold. so that's why the promoters are always looking to sell perfume.
then i dropped out of college.
er.. did some sales work. for some off the shelf software company serving corporate clients. not any big accounts but some usual accounts la.
did that for 3 months i think. 1.5k.
then took a pay cut to do some menial work for some entertainment company. @800 a month. worked like a dog.
then switched within 3 months to a programming company. i said i didnt know any programming much. but my friend introed me so they say if i am willing to learn they take me in lor. so i did go in. with 1.3k. hurrah.. that was the start of a long time in a company. 2.8 years in there. :P or wassit 3.5 years.. not sure.. came out after some dissent in the company. that was where i learnt asp/dhtml/etc.. easy stuffs :P
then another 6 months in another company for php. then i came here.
3 months in a factory assembling computers b4 i got my current one. wah.. a relief.
but it seems that i'll be here for quite a while.
relax.. it's a tuesday.. sommore it's still hot and warm..

got my japanese visa.

1 year multiple entries. each entry 90 days. nice ! anyways, i think i did mention that japanese efficiency was also seen in the embassy ???!!?? alright, please scratch that. the time i went was early in the morning and i was one of the first person there so service was fast. i found the service to be comparable to other embassies where they are not really that quick.. well.. can't blame them just that it was my bad luck that my visa wasn't printed. 1. i went in the morning at 10 at stated on the paper. 2. she tried to find it.. couldn't find my passport. and then she said it's not ready yet.. please come back in the afternoon. T_T. (i shouldn't have woken up so early) 3. i went back to the embassy after lunch. took warren st to green park. it was stated severe delays but when i went on it.. it was quite quick. 4. i was the second in line to collect visa. not ready.. T_T.... he said.. 5 mins.. they are gonna print it now... 5. i waited.... 5 mins.... 10 mins.... 15 ...

my boring weekend

i went to camden on sat and almost got rammed by a stupid green car on the way back. anyways, i was bored. and it was a nice day. don't know anything bout tour de france, or wimbledon. took my bike out. and cycled down towards camden. it was a change from cycling to work. i spent £7 in sainsburys cos they were having a half price sale on john west's tuna in cans. the usual price is about £3.19. bought some stuffs.. ( coulnd't buy a lot cos i don't wanna ride home on a punctured bike) but i bought too many as well. i bought jaffa biscuit for 69p. for 24 pieces. finished it b4 sat was over. took some photos on the way. went into o2 to see if i could get any nice phones for free. turned out that i couldn't because i havent paid any phone bills since last year. looks like i'm gonna hvae to switch my sim card to a pay as you go thingy. then i went to the outdoor emporium to take a look at the karrimor travelpack. i dunno why .. that one seems to call out to me other...

rain rain rain ...

i went to thomas global exchange on sunday. there was a long queue just to change money. so indeed my recommendation of the place was correct. it was in a quiet place. but it looked alright. there were lotsa ppl. and ppl who were walking past were very intrigue by this long line in front of a money changer. that's about it. i still need to change a little bit more. so i'll wait for my next round b4 i go there again. it was pissing rain outside. i thought i'd have to wait till it settled down. but as it is with london's rain, it just is not like the torrential downpour back in msia. lighting and thunder. yippee.. i used to hide whenever i hear thunder and see the lightning. and then i grew out of being scared of it. now i'm scared of a different kind of thing. that aside, nothing else is special. i brought food to work today. from the baguette i bought from somerfield on sunday. it was 62p for 4 wholemeal ones. i stuffed it with corned beef i bought from sainsbury. a...
