echocardiogram - ultrasound scan of the heart

woot.. !! i saw my heart lol. like a pregnant woman who sees her baby on the monitor.. it was so cool !.
the techician stuck 3 wires to my body. made me lie on my left side with my left hand up and elbow facing downward. like a sleeping position.
and then he pressed a few buttons on the machine. i could feel the gel on my chest. weird. it wasn't cold. not like the movies.
and then it seems like ages when he was taking the echo.
then i could hear weird noises coming out from the machine. i thought wtf.. what the heck is that..
ooo it's the sound of my heart pumping blood. ( it really sounded weird. i thought it was supposed to sound like dub dub. dub dub. but mine sounded like weird. different parts of the ultrasound gave different heard pumping sound)
then he said to turn a little over that was when i could see the monitor. ahaha nice ! i could see my heart.

i think i he was looking at the triscuspid valve, or the mitral valve.. not sure if that's how it's spelled. ( i cheated i checked wiki)
how many ppl can u say saw their own heart !! hahaha i saw mine. :D
anyways, it was cool. he placed the ultrasound thingy on my throat. and my tummy. and told me to breathe in.

okok that's completed then i got fitted with a spacelabs BP monitor for 24 hours. means i can't shower tonight. which is why i took the bus this morning.
gotta return it tomorrow at around 330pm.
the BP machine takes a reading every 30 mins during the day and 1 hour during the night.
anyways, that's the update for today

oh i got both my tests done at the heart hospital about 10 mins walk away . so it was pretty convenient. :D and i got to show off my spacelabs BP monitor. lol

got my japanese visa.

1 year multiple entries. each entry 90 days. nice ! anyways, i think i did mention that japanese efficiency was also seen in the embassy ???!!?? alright, please scratch that. the time i went was early in the morning and i was one of the first person there so service was fast. i found the service to be comparable to other embassies where they are not really that quick.. well.. can't blame them just that it was my bad luck that my visa wasn't printed. 1. i went in the morning at 10 at stated on the paper. 2. she tried to find it.. couldn't find my passport. and then she said it's not ready yet.. please come back in the afternoon. T_T. (i shouldn't have woken up so early) 3. i went back to the embassy after lunch. took warren st to green park. it was stated severe delays but when i went on it.. it was quite quick. 4. i was the second in line to collect visa. not ready.. T_T.... he said.. 5 mins.. they are gonna print it now... 5. i waited.... 5 mins.... 10 mins.... 15 ...

A short history of my reading of books

I read 3 books on sat and sunday. some say i don't really read these books that i say i read because i read so fast that i can't possibly grasp the entire story. and some say stories are best read slowly and digested slowly. I've always been a person who rushes through most of the things i do. sometimes i take time and do the stuffs slowly sometimes quickly. kk. right now from saturday onwards, i'm gonna keep count on how many books i can read till i exhaust the feeling that i wanna read books. i started reading when i was 8 years old. i mean REALLY into reading. i spent one year living with my aunt back in sibu and while all my older cousins were studying and doing their own things, i sat down in front of the TV and watched the friday's cartoon. about a whale with special powers. ( this was usually met by my uncle with dark looks because i watch too much telly.) i read the whole childcraft encyclopedia. ( it wasn't hard because it was done in such a way that a ...

rain rain rain ...

i went to thomas global exchange on sunday. there was a long queue just to change money. so indeed my recommendation of the place was correct. it was in a quiet place. but it looked alright. there were lotsa ppl. and ppl who were walking past were very intrigue by this long line in front of a money changer. that's about it. i still need to change a little bit more. so i'll wait for my next round b4 i go there again. it was pissing rain outside. i thought i'd have to wait till it settled down. but as it is with london's rain, it just is not like the torrential downpour back in msia. lighting and thunder. yippee.. i used to hide whenever i hear thunder and see the lightning. and then i grew out of being scared of it. now i'm scared of a different kind of thing. that aside, nothing else is special. i brought food to work today. from the baguette i bought from somerfield on sunday. it was 62p for 4 wholemeal ones. i stuffed it with corned beef i bought from sainsbury. a...
