a little of swordfish and some old computer overclocking.

1. i cooked a little for chinese new year dinner. of course . where would be dinner without fish. ya know..
so i tried this swordfish i bought from sainsbury. thought i'd try out.. wah piang eh..
150gram of it.. cos about £3.27. T_T.
anywyas, fish is fish. i thought what can be so different from other type of fish.
i chose to make it a japanese marinated grilled thingy ..
and cooked it under the grill for about 20 mins. after it was cooked.
OMG... when u eat the fish.. it literally MELTED in my mouth. hum.. okies.. i've never been a fan of fish because of the bones.
so that's one reason i don't eat fish.
no no.. it did melt. other fish u can still chew a little bit.. but this one..... it MELTED .. anywyas, it was nice to eat la.
i had other stuffs as well, fried noodles, curry, some stir-fried greens, some eggs, some crabmeat ( those processed ones la.. )
and some icing cupcakes. too full.

2. i overclocked my old amd64 3000+. i had to do that because i was about to spend £600 for a new set. but lucky i thought of OC-ing before i did go to the shop and buy the components.
result, after 5 hours of tweaking and testings with the settings, i managed to get it to run it stable.
amd64 3000+@2.375Ghz.
the temp never went above 50. usually hovering around 45-48
the voltage was set to 1.65v. and i reduced the htt multiplier from 4 to 3, and my cpu clock went up to 250.
it was unstable when it was at 235 at 1.5v.. so i increased it.
i did ram as well.. not sure how i'm gonna fry my chip.. set it at 2-2-2-6 i think.
it did have some problems ocasionally freezing my world of warcraft game. but heck it's worth it.
my frame rate b4 OC-ing was about 8-23 in shattrath city. now i get about 20-40. varying depending on where i look.
and i managed to hit a high of 60++ in Arathi basin.
well worth it.. it gave my old amd a few more months of playtime. and saved myself some money in the process.
i googled for information on how to oc my amd. so it helped alot.

3. i've been to almost all the library in islington i think.
but somehow the reservation system is a little weird.. couldn't find out when my books are gonna come.

4. i scolded my colleague when he was trying to talk to me during lunch today. i dunno why la.. i wasn't in a mood to talk to anybody today.
(must be the male pms) anyways, *shrug* told him not to talk to me.
*it happens everytime i don't get enough sleep. T_T.
blame it on david eddings and his tales of the elenium and Sir Sparhawk.

oh did i say tesco at the end of bus 253 route sold pringles for 49p each can ? it was the 230g ones. i bought 8. BWAHAHHAHA
which would explain why i am having sore throat and ulcer in my mouth - not drinking enough water.

met a old lady who was asking me to give some of my croissant to the pigeons cos the pigeon lost a leg.
anyways, she told me she loved camden cos she was from there. ( she asked where i was from . rather she asked if i was from china. i replied msia. )
lol anywyas, i finished my croissant and then said my farewells. her name was patricia i think.
and the last time she went to paris was in 77.
nothing significant, but well.. it's one human interaction a year. completed my quota for this year.

got my japanese visa.

1 year multiple entries. each entry 90 days. nice ! anyways, i think i did mention that japanese efficiency was also seen in the embassy ???!!?? alright, please scratch that. the time i went was early in the morning and i was one of the first person there so service was fast. i found the service to be comparable to other embassies where they are not really that quick.. well.. can't blame them just that it was my bad luck that my visa wasn't printed. 1. i went in the morning at 10 at stated on the paper. 2. she tried to find it.. couldn't find my passport. and then she said it's not ready yet.. please come back in the afternoon. T_T. (i shouldn't have woken up so early) 3. i went back to the embassy after lunch. took warren st to green park. it was stated severe delays but when i went on it.. it was quite quick. 4. i was the second in line to collect visa. not ready.. T_T.... he said.. 5 mins.. they are gonna print it now... 5. i waited.... 5 mins.... 10 mins.... 15 ...

my boring weekend

i went to camden on sat and almost got rammed by a stupid green car on the way back. anyways, i was bored. and it was a nice day. don't know anything bout tour de france, or wimbledon. took my bike out. and cycled down towards camden. it was a change from cycling to work. i spent £7 in sainsburys cos they were having a half price sale on john west's tuna in cans. the usual price is about £3.19. bought some stuffs.. ( coulnd't buy a lot cos i don't wanna ride home on a punctured bike) but i bought too many as well. i bought jaffa biscuit for 69p. for 24 pieces. finished it b4 sat was over. took some photos on the way. went into o2 to see if i could get any nice phones for free. turned out that i couldn't because i havent paid any phone bills since last year. looks like i'm gonna hvae to switch my sim card to a pay as you go thingy. then i went to the outdoor emporium to take a look at the karrimor travelpack. i dunno why .. that one seems to call out to me other...

rain rain rain ...

i went to thomas global exchange on sunday. there was a long queue just to change money. so indeed my recommendation of the place was correct. it was in a quiet place. but it looked alright. there were lotsa ppl. and ppl who were walking past were very intrigue by this long line in front of a money changer. that's about it. i still need to change a little bit more. so i'll wait for my next round b4 i go there again. it was pissing rain outside. i thought i'd have to wait till it settled down. but as it is with london's rain, it just is not like the torrential downpour back in msia. lighting and thunder. yippee.. i used to hide whenever i hear thunder and see the lightning. and then i grew out of being scared of it. now i'm scared of a different kind of thing. that aside, nothing else is special. i brought food to work today. from the baguette i bought from somerfield on sunday. it was 62p for 4 wholemeal ones. i stuffed it with corned beef i bought from sainsbury. a...
