xyz .. went to work. came down the bike. locked the bike. noticed something weird with the bike. why is my rim looking like that.
shit.. the rim splitted. this is gonna cost.
anyways, long story short. surfed the internet to check if buying a new bike is better than fixing the bike. turns out it's quite expensive to buy bikes and fix bikes around here.
went to Cycle Surgery. saw a few bikes. damn expensive. the same brand of bike which i'm currently using is kona cost about 299£. deng. i wondered if i saw it in cycle surgery or evans cycles. anyways, decided to go get the wheel which was supposedly priced at £35.
went back from office a bit earlier. went to ask holloway cycles asked them. said £35and £10 to fit it.. went up the road a bit. 40 £ from cycle surgery. 6£ to fit it. so i went back to holloway's cycle. turned out it was 40£ . diu. i bought the wheel and a sprocket remover. didnt buy the chain whip.
thought i could fix it myself.
here's the pic of the split wheel.
and the new wheel was made in msia costed me 45£. sigh.
Sprocket Remover
a few hours later with the help of an old bicycle chain i picked up from the road, managed to remove the sprocket. then fixed the wheel. went out to the petrol station to pump the tyre with air. 20p. gone.
voila. a good nite sleep.
on a totally un related note.. i'll post a six wheeler for you guys to look at.
