and so.. they gave me valsartan.

rolls royce of the hypertension drugs apparently.
i was quite afraid it was gonna cost tons.. but lucky for nhs, it was only £6.85.

weekend i bought, a jack lalanne juicer. some tv thingy. apparently it is made in china.
and right. i was bored. that's why i bought it.
and they are lying when they say i don't have to cut anything..
i tried putting the whole carrot in .. it spun and shook like the earth was shaking under it's feet. lol
it was quiet. that i'll say . not as loud as others but still quiet enough.
carrots stains the plastic almost immediately..

that juicer cost about £49.99. yeah i know.. that's too much to pay for a juicer.. i should have gotten myself a nice keyboard for that price.

and then i went to the south library to get some books and the librarians there were talking about britney spears.

cleaned my room. played some wow. read some books. ate some pizza.
i guess tomorrow it's back to the bicycle for me after a week's long absence of cycling.
i shall miss taking the bus.. ( i get to read when i am in the bus)

oh. the doc wiped my fantasies of actually being diagnosed like on house md.
well.. can't blame him. he's a gp. :D
but still it was kinda weird when he told me to get my heart traced as well as a myriad of other tests.

that's it for this version of the update.

Straight on Valsartan? That's not usually the first line for hypertension. Your GP must have loads of money!
piffy: lol juicer after conversion is ex hor..
they have cheaper ones.. like philips for about £25,
but thought what the heck.. see how good is the other one lol

twisty: ya.. i've gone on nifedipine i think that's how u spell it..
that bloody gave me migraines ( and i thought it was due to the heat back in msia)
then i went on the ramipril that gave me diarrhea. T_T
i stopped taking hypertension pills since 2 years ago.. then i thought might as well go see doc la.
so that's when he gave me valsartan lor.

what has GP having loads of money gotta do with the drug ?
thought it's all NHS one ?

Oh, seems you experience all the unwanted side effects which minority of patients do.

Well, GP get paid differently by what they prescribed. Valsartan is more expensive, so he gets paid less. Very complicated :)

Hope your bp would stabilise!

living on a budget

£4 per weekday and £10 for groceries for the week. that's it's gonna be till sept. hopefully.. until i start to try shopping again .. -_- so far for the last few days has been okays. spent like £8 for groceries for this week. some beef, some chicken wings( which i completely finished during the weekend) which included half a kg of fruit and nut cadbury. today was 2 for £2 sausage rolls from tescos. nothing else happened. my friend's father died of lung cancer. i wish them condolences. it was so sudden apparently. but i have had no contact with them since i left KL/miri. i heard it from another friend who was in miri who msged me asking me about my blood pressure as he said he was scared now. i asked. scared of dying ? lol. anyways, it's best to be preventing than trying to cure it when it comes.. so i really have to switch back to no salt diet.. T_T kk that's it. season 6 of 24 was like erm... okays... it was basically a repeat of the plots.. hope that's the la...

Ultimate Burger. ( sorry no pics)

Tried something new for lunch the other day. namely ultimate burger. . it's a tad pricey when compared to the burgers i had in macdonalds or burger king. :P £7 per medium sized burger. i had just the minted lamb burger(£6.95), and some spicy onion rings.(£1.95) in the ultimate burger store in tottenham court road. it was not too bad. a pretty nice setting too. all u have to do is queue up order ur food, then get a number then u put it on the table. they have sort of a hanger for u to put ur numbers to. just like in those kind of chinese open air market in petaling jaya give u number then they come look for u.. but this one they come to look for u with ur food almost about 2 mins after u've sat down and they would ask u if u liked ur food. gripes about the food. lamb burger seems small.. but its' about the size of a chargrilled flame burger in burgerking. taste wise, very tender lamb meat with mint sauce. it's nice. :P the onion rings are a different matter though . for ...
