Recovering PC....

a few coasters and 20++ usables a few hours later, and with help from western's Digital diagnostic program to help check my hard drive for those bad boys. it's finally recovering. and I AM finally recovering from the initial shock of losing my data.
but i have to be on the vigilant side. cos that temperamental disk might just decided to act up again.
i didnt need to buy a new hdd. hurrah.
anywyas, it's almost back to normal. my routine is almost back to normal.
will resume my daily life in making cookies, taking pictures, planning, and planning. one more month... or somewhat like that.
last nite i burnt my pallet, notsurehowucallit. the thing in my mouth. the ceiling. ate too hot too spicy.. muahhaha.
today forgot to bring out those food from the freezer. it looks like it's gonna be noodles again tonite. *grin*

I hate Harddrives. The day holographic drives arrives I will be a happy bunny. I have been archieving stuffs on my DVD since my old disk started dying but even then I can't take things for granted because burned DVDs are worst.
hehe. who doesnt. i've lost a 40gb to a car crash. the seagate 5400 rpm ones. and i swear i dont wanna lose another 160 gb .. dvds.. yeah.. i know what u mean.. if they are lost.. they ARE LOST.. sigh.. anyways, buy better quality DVDs and verify them b4 putting them away. that's what i usually do.
hehe.

Yeah, I usually verify the CDRs before I put them away only to fetch them from storage one year later to find them not working. And these are good brands. The only one that so far hasn't failed me are Sony CD-RWs which so far lasted five years. I hope my archieved DVDs won't suffer the same fate as CD-Rs.
ouch.. i dread to think what's gonna happen to my 1300 pcs of cdrs i have in KL.
hehe.
